Over the past 3-4 years I've become a bit of a prostate toy connoisseur. I've tried dozens of different toys from aneros type, to vibrators, dildos, prostate specific vibrators and butt plugs. I have a few favorites, but am always open to sticking new toys up my butt for science. When the Hugo (and Bruno) were released by Lelo, I knew I had to try one. It even came in my favorite color, which was irresistible. My wallet was fighting back, but my prostate said Please! The look and design looked nearly perfect and was just beckoning to be tried.

I have similar toys I use frequently during sex and solo adventures alike. The Hugo is meant to be inserted and left in place. Only the contracting and relaxing of your pc/sphincter muscles move it ever so gently against your prostate, along with the added bonus of strong vibrations. In this case those very vibrations are also remote controlled, by you or your partner. This now means no fumbling to change patterns/intensity or to shut off during/after sex. This also opens up possibilities to use while out and about in public with you or better yet, your partner controlling the action from a close proximity. Oh boy this is gonna be fun. But how will Hugo perform? I have to be honest. My expectations are very high. Can Hugo dethrone my current favorite prostate massagers?

I also believe this toy could be used by women as a dual simulator or anal plug. It's nice to see one marketed for men though. The prostate massager market seems to be growing in recent years with the offering or more and more options. Often toys are re-branded or "re-gendered" by simply changing the color and name of the exact same product. That doesn't always equate to equal pleasure for us guys. The Stronic Zwei is one that comes to mind. Way too large looking for the average anal explorer.

Hugo is also water/splash proof, so you can enjoy it in the shower too.

Hugo is pure 100% non-porous silicone. Silicone is a 10 on the EF rating scale for safety. There is no noticeable smell and it is smooth and velvety to the touch with a very slight amount of drag. Some water-based lubricant, quickly makes is slick and smooth. There is nothing quite like the Silicone Lelo uses. It is pure luxury and worth the price. I just love how it feels to touch.

The entire body is coated in silicone, save for the lelo insignia plate that covers the recharge port. The perineum arm is slightly flexible, while the insertable portion is firm.

The remote is silicone on one side and silver colored plastic on the other.

The only negative about the material is silicone draws lint and dust, but Lelo's silicone collects far less than other silicone toys I have. They simply feel luxurious.

There was a bit of a smell when I first opened the packaging, but nothing offensive..more along the lines of a "new car smell".

The design looks perfect...at least very close to it in theory. Dual motor is great too. The size is just about ideal intermediate/advanced players, but probably big for a beginner. And basically it's just beautiful. It has a pronounced arch, which may be a pro or con depending on ones anatomy. The inserted length is fairly long.

I would travel with it personally, but maybe only if checked bag.

Firstly, let me say this toy is well made, beautiful, POWERFUL for it's size and easy to use. I was amazed at the power. I loved the remote control ability, and although there were occasional slight hiccups or lag in the remote response, it picked right back up shortly after. The remote control device is probably louder than the insertable portion at full blast. It vibrates in unison, so the controller knows what is happening. I just wish there was a way to disable that when you need it. It would be easier to use in public then or be more discreet in a roommate situation. Though you can use the toy without the remote of course.

Both have little blue lights that illuminate while operating too. This could be a pro or con depending on your setting/situation. In daylight, it's hardly noticeable, but nice to know that it is indicating that the toy is on. In complete darkness it's very bright...makes it easy to keep track of the remote if you set it down during playtime. I guess if it bothered you it could be covered with duct/electrical tape. There's a small discreet light on the base of the plug too. The remote is fairly loud when laid down on a bed or table while operating.

Noise-wise. 2.5 bees I'd say. You could discreetly use this behind closed doors (so long as you don't set it down while vibrating). It's fairly quiet inserted. The remote vibrates too and is a tad louder than the plug. You can quickly lower the volume by turning the remote flat and raise it by holding it vertical. This is the strongest anal vibe I've ever used. And is remarkable for the size. I think it's comparable to the Lelo Ina 2 in strength. Stronger than Lelo's Billy/Liv even.

Hugo is rechargeable, which is great if you hate replacing batteries. I am amazed at how long it lasts on a charge. It reportedly gets around 40mins of playtime on a charge. Charging is somewhere around 2 hrs. I've probably used it 30-40 min and haven't had to charge it yet.

The Silicone is easy to clean and can be sterilized with 10% bleach solution, soaking in a cup of hot water, or scrubbing with antibacterial soap and/or toy cleaner.

EF recommends not using silicone lube with silicone toys or it can degrade the material. You can try a spot test if you insist on silicone lube.

You can store in the box or the included cloth pouch if you want to keep dust from attracting itself to your toy.

Lelo toys come with a 1 year warranty from Lelo if anything goes wrong and offer a 50% discount for 10 years if your toy fails. It's nice to know when you are spending this kind of money on a toy

Lelo's packaging is typically first rate and luxurious. This particular toys is a step down though. I don't really care, because I don't use them for storage, but at this price point you expect luxury. The outside sleeve has a sleek picture of Hugo (in your favorite color) on the cover (in beautiful vibrant turquoise, in my case). Then you have the standard minimalist blue Lelo storage box, which could be used for bedside storage. The toy sits within a foam cutout for security and visible through a clear window. Included with the toy are: Charger, storage pouch, lube sample, battery compartment key, warranty card and instructions. Everything you could ask for. Just one of the many reasons we love Lelo products. Pure luxury!

The box is recyclable, but can also be used for storage. It is not discreet as their is a photo of the toy on the packaging or a visible window on the interior box.

I had high hopes for this toy. I think it's amazing how much power it has and looks/feels stunningly good, but it just doesn't do it for me personally. I'm not sure if I just don't like rumbly vibrations (billy didn't do much for me either). I find it slightly uncomfortable fully inserted. There's no room for movement and it wants to slide out if I am standing/kneeling, so this wouldn't work for me using a fleshlight or during intercourse. I think it might be amazing for others who like bigger toys and this is definitely for more advanced users IMO. I also think women might enjoy this too and definitely recommend for couples.

All in all a great toy, but (and that is one big but sadly). It just doesn't hit my spot. I can't tell you how let down I feel. The toys performance itself, I can find no fault in. It's an amazing powerful device.

For me though, I found insertion took a while...that's ok though. I'm no beginner, but I am tight and I really have to relax and work this one in slowly..probably more to do with the shape than the size. I think it must go right past my P spot and deeper than it needs to be for me personally. My favorite toys only need to be inserted a few inches. Once I am settled in and relaxed, then I have issues with it wanting to fall back out if I am standing or kneeling especially. If I am clenched it will stay in, but it doesn't allow me to relax without wanting to fall out. The taper actually seems fine (a flaw with some anal toys)..but I think the depth and curvature just doesn't jive with my anatomy.

If I could change anything, I kinda think it doesn't need so much curve/aggressive angle. I think the perineum arm could be longer to hit closer to the balls..the insertion distance could be 1" shorter. This toy seems so close to perfection, but I'm finding it just doesn't work for me much. As powerful as it is (way more so than any toys I have..and rumbly too), it just doesn't stimulate me the way I need it. A smaller, thinner toy does wonders...just a tickle on the prostate does wonders. I thought this one would blow my mind, but it's even a tad uncomfortable for me. I have no problems inserting comparable size objects like the Aneros Progasm or ego E4...so It must be the angle?

Now this may work for others...and actually I bet it would be amazing for G spot use in females too. I'm just saying it's not working as I expected and I had high expectations, but I actually am not seeing this becoming my go to toy and I'm really disappointed in that. I'm bummed too, because I've been wanting this for months since getting an email from Lelo announcing it.
