Pump up the volume!

For anyone looking to experiment using objects of different sizes anally, but who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on many different butt plugs, the Gapers Organic offers a great solution with its adjustable volume.

extremely useful review
The Gapers Organic comes packaged in a simple clear plastic box with some information printed on the sides. The contents are completely visible through the front, though at a glance it looks like a cross between a blood-pressure monitor and a juicer for fruit. Surprisingly the box states that the toy is made in China, unlike most Doc Johnson products which usually have "proudly made in the U.S.A." printed on the packaging. The box also makes mention that the toy is made of latex, which is worth noting for people who have an allergy to it.

The Gapers has a rigid central core, and is a little less than 1 1/2" thick when deflated, which helps it to slide easily into the body without a problem. The first time I used the product I noticed a slight burning sensation from the material, so I decided to remove it and cover it with a condom before trying again. I don’t have a history of being sensitive to latex, which makes this a strange thing to occur, but I'd advise the condom approach to anyone worried about how they might react to the material.

When the plug is inserted inside the body it rests perfectly comfortably, in much the same way that any other plug might. The one downside I noticed is that the air hose comes directly out of the underside of the base on the plug, meaning you can't use the gapers from a seated position.

With the use of the hand pump the plug inflates very easily. You can control how much it inflates by varying how hard you squeeze, so a short series of soft pumps will lead to a gradual size increase, whereas two or three firm pumps will have you feeling full pretty quickly. If you happen to over-inflate the plug then a quick release valve on the pump can be opened to rapidly expel the air and returns you to comfort. As you inflate the plug it takes on an egg-shape, rather like the Tantus A-Bomb, with the widest point around the middle. You may notice that this causes a fuller feeling to occur at a smaller size, than with a traditional conical shaped butt plug.

Inflating the plug inside you is definitely a unique experience, quite different to inserting an object of a static size. You really get a clear sense of the pressure building against the prostate with each pump, and as you have total control over it you can repeatedly pump it just beyond your limit, then release the air, and experience the unusual sensation it creates. Having something in there which isn't solid is also a different feeling in itself. My body seemed to be generally less content with it than with a traditional butt plug. With a standard butt plug you can feel weight and firmness of the material, and it responds when you clench against it with your muscles to hold it in place. With the Gapers you merely have a large air-filled void inside you, which just becomes squeezed into a new shape in response to any pressure from the body. I found I had to work a fair bit harder, both mentally and physically, to persuade my body to allow it to stay there, and not just give in and expel it.

Depending on how large you've made it it's possible to remove the plug from the body while it’s still inflated. This can be useful for stretching the muscles from the inside out, but only if you inflate it enough that it becomes firm, otherwise it’ll just exit the body by changing shape. The plug can reach over 4" in diameter when inflated, if you’re interested in going that large. When it’s puffed up so much I find it reminds me of the girl from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, who swelled up like a purple berry. One of the big benefits of the toy is that you can enjoy that very full feeling inside, but without the need to go to the trouble of training your sphincter to allow you to insert something that large through it.

So far when using it I haven't gone much over 2" in diameter, but I'm definitely enjoying testing my limits.

When cleaning the toy it's best to inflate it slightly first, just to make sure nothing gets caught in the ridges. It can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water, or by using toy wipes.

Overall I'm very pleased with this toy, and am having a lot of fun experimenting with it. My only wish is that it was made from a better material so I didn’t have to cover it with a condom, but still I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for controlled anal play.
Follow-up commentary
The Gapers has stayed in good condition so far, and I have no holes or tears to report in the material.

I find myself seldom using the Gapers plug any more, unfortunately I just don't enjoy the sensation of a big balloon of air inside me as much as I do a solid plug. I have other toys that I'd far rather be playing with.

So, if your reaction was to the latex material, then wouldn't a latex condom produce the same reaction or do you think it is different latex? Thanks for the great review.

@Jimbo Jones, I have to say I've never had a bad experience with a latex condom, so I can't say for sure what it was that my body didn't like about the material in this toy. I think the exact chemical composition can vary from latex to latex, and there's no way to know precisely what they've put it in; maybe I should have reacted more cautiously when I saw "Made in China" on the box.

Great review! Thanks! I've been considering this toy, but I'm not a fan of latex, so I'm still iffy at the mo.
