Screw Me?! Okay.

This fun plug is great for long term wear. Wear it to the store, while doing laundry, sit, stand, do jumping jacks if you want. Where you wear it is up to you. I found that it also adds texture for sex. Not much, but some. This plug is for those who enjoy texture anally. I usually don't, but with plug, I have to say I'm a convert. You can insert two different ways. You can go with the slow cork screw twist, or you can simply insert it and feel each and every succulent ridge.

The Twist is made from Tantus' 100% premium silicone. It's a fantastic material that rates a 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's non-porous, hypo-allergenic, phthalates-free, and completely sterilizable. Yay! The Twist's surface has a buttery soft, matte finish. It has very little drag to it. There is a light plastic smell to it. After boiling and bleaching it, it's still there. I did a flame test and it passed.

The Twist's name really should be TEXTURE. The entire bulb is textured. From the tippy top to where it meets the base. It's a nice spiral, and the ridges are nicely curved. Be sure to pace yourself if the texture is too much. The first time I tried it I had to stop and start again. Don't feel pressured to just shove it in there. You could injure yourself. There are very light seams on the plug, but can't be felt during use. The Tantus logo is on the bottom front of the base. It also can't be felt during use.

The design of the Twist is that of a bloated wine bottle opener. The twist of the material starts at the very top. The swirl continues consistently down the entire bulb to the neck, where it stops. Not abruptly, but rather smoothly. The neck is completely smooth, and it's a great size. It's not going to warm you up for a huge toy, but it will warm you up for a small to mid-sized toy. The size could be handled by a beginner, but the texture would make this best for intermediate and advanced players.

The base is what I really love about this plug. It's slim, but thicker in the middle. It's does flex inward all of the way, but if you flex it outward, it stays firm. It's one of the most comfortable bases I've ever used. It's completely safe for all activities. I wear plugs for upwards of an hour, and I don't sit still. I have not once felt like I was going to lose this plug.

The first time I used the Twist I found it uncomfortable. I was ready to write a review that said, "Screw this!", but I couldn't. I had to give it another shot. I'm glad that I did. The next time around, I loved it! I didn't insert it corkscrew style, but went the bumpy route. Surprisingly enough, that was enjoyable. I'm not one for texture anally, but the soft curves and threading were very comfortable. In use, every step I took made me smile. Sitting was a different sensation. It was almost an uncomfortable pressure. With a few wiggles of the hips, I was once again in heaven. I wore this plug for over an hour, and not once was it uncomfortable. The base is amazing for long term wear. It's safe and minimal. The matte finish doesn't chafe the skin, which is great if the neck and base loses its lubrication. I didn't try it with another toy, or penis, but I did feel to see if it added texture internally. It did. Slight, since there is the perineum there, but still present. The plug is great for those that love texture, like texture, or are looking to try something new.

Silicone is a fantastic material that is easy to clean and a breeze to sterilize. You can clean it with soap or toy cleaner and water. I though there would be an issue with cleaning the ridges, but because they're set far apart, it's no problem. To sterilize you have a few options. You can boil it in water for 3-5 minutes, soak it in a 10% bleach solution, or toss it in the dishwasher.

The packaging can be cumbersome to open and close for storage. I personally keep mine in a sandwich baggy, with my other plugs.

The Twist comes in Tantus' standard plastic packaging. It's orange and clear in the front, displaying the toy The back is orange and opaque. It has Tantus' mission statement and information regarding silicone's awesomenss. The packaging can be a hassle to open and close every time to use the toy. So if you get tired of it, you can always store the toy in a baggie and chuck the packaging in the recycling bin.
