Couture seduction - vibrating anal plug discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Philippe's Slut

I bought The Couture Seduction to use mainly as an anal vibrator. My first plug was entirely too thin (purchased at a different retailer,) so I wanted to go bigger. Boy, did I!! I have to work to get this fella in, but when it's in, it feels soooooo good. Other novices may want to find a smaller plug if you're still unsure about your backdoor. The vibrations certainly do help lower the inhibitions and relax the anal ring, though.

Since the CS can be used both anally and vaginally, it's fair game for both male and females. The nice flared base means that anally, it's comfortable and easy to manipulate. It can also be used vaginally; I've found that the base is much better at providing outer anal stimulation than clitoral when used vaginally, so you may want to consider this vibe if that's what you're looking for. It can be a bit unwieldy if you want to use other toys at the same time, though. I've found that using something small like a bullet works perfectly.

It claims to be waterproof, but I've not tried it there. I'm hesitant to take it in the bath with me since it's corded, but it does seem well sealed.

The CS is 100% silicone, so only use water based lubricants with it. It's firm, yet supple, and has a slightly velvety texture. No bumps, ridges or seams except along the bottom (where it's not inserted, anyway.) Seams are bacteria collectors, so the no-seams are a plus. You can clean silicone with a 10% bleach solution or your favorite toy cleaner. I didn't notice any odor or strange taste with the CS.

The CS is a corded vibrating multi-purpose plug. The remote fits nicely in your hand and has two buttons.. one for power, one for settings. They're slightly raised, but unless you're looking directly at it, you may end up turning it off instead of upping the power. It's powered with two AAA batteries that go into the controller. The cord is just under a foot and is frustratingly short for me.

The CS doesn't have much of a flare on the plug itself and has to be held in place. The width of the oval-shaped base is about 1 1/2" wide, making it hard to slip firmly between your cheeks for long-term play. This isn't a plug that would be easy to walk around with, under clothes and all. It works best if sat on or simply held in place. On each end of the base there is a small upturned spot that can provide outer anal or clitoral stimulation when used vaginally. The insertable portion is about 3" long and has a nice thick head.

There's no doubt that this is a sex toy when casually observed. It's small enough to take on vacations.

The vibrations seem to emanate from the tip of the toy, and are fairly strong on the higher settings. There are two buttons on the remote, one for power and one for settings. It's a comfortable shape and fits well in your hand. The buttons light up when it's turned on. It's moderately quiet, but not as quiet as the box claims. You may not be able to hear it under the covers and through a door, but you would standing in the same room.

The vibrations are solid and vary with the pattern. The first few are normal vibrations that escalate in intensity, then there are a few that vary the pulse/pattern/escalation. The higher vibrations are fairly strong, but not earth shattering. For a toy that uses AAA batteries, though, this provides a stronger punch than imagined.

The CS is food-grade 100% silicone. Normally with silicone, you can boil it for 5-10 minutes, put it in the dishwasher (top rack, no harsh detergent) or wash with an anti-bacterial soap and warm water. The first two are out for this toy since the mechanicals would cease to work if it was boiled or put in the dishwasher. I simply recommend a 10% bleach solution for this toy. Silicone is touted as non-porus, but the truth is that it IS porus.. it just has very very very tiny pores. Bacteria and viruses aren't able to get in, but after a time, odor CAN, so sanitizing is probably a good idea.
