Rhapsodia - anal balls discontinued by Close2You - review by Shellz31

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I'm a huge fan of my Luna Bead system by Lelo, due to the fact that the internal balls move freely and create a tremendous sensation. So when a friend made me aware of the Rhapsodia, I HAD to purchase it in my next order. I couldn't believe a company had come up with the internal ball idea which could be used in both orifices. And, of course, the violet color had me instantly drooling.

MATERIAL ~ ODOR:

These Rhapsodia beads are superbly created from TPR and ABS plastic by Close2You. Although they are designed and developed in Germany, they are actually made in China. TPR is hypo-allergenic, food grade, phthalates and latex free, which earns a safety rating of 8. The beauty of such a material is you are free to use water or silicone based lubricants with no ill effects on the toy. Another wonderful feature is the lack of any odor.

COLORING ~ TEXTURE:

As with most items that offer a purple shade, I took the Violet over the Nero black. The Rhapsodia has a slight rough feel that creates a reasonable amount of drag across the skin. Down one side of each of the three balls is the Close2You symbol
These symbols are slightly raised and molded from ABS that poke through the TPR in a rounded manner. Because there are no square edges, it makes cleaning easier. The outer beads are extremely firm and are attached to a handle that is dense but pliable.

SHAPE:

Rhapsodia is designed as three different sized balls in a row and are connected by a thin, but dense, flexible neck of TPR, which allows for plenty of movement. Upon the largest ball is a 2 ½” of round very pliable TPR, leading to a heart shaped handle. Cut out of the handle is an incomplete number 2 (Close2You's symbol).



Down either side of the toy is a seam. One side is more flush with the balls so it's barely noticeable but the one is felt quite well when I rub my fingers over it – particularly in places. Although it's rather pronounced to sight and finger feel, I didn't notice it at all when inserting vaginally or anally. The Rhapsodia weighs 2.8oz and the ball diameters are as follows:

1st Ball: 3”
2nd Ball: 4”
3rd Ball: 4 ½”

The entire length is 8 ¾”, with 4 ¾” of that being insertable.
The Rhapsodia features a weighted ball inside each of the three hard ball shells. With any slight movement, these internal balls will roll and create very pleasant sensations.

USE:

This toy works well for both the girls and the guys. Although it's located under the anal beads section of the site, it can also be used vaginally. Whether you choose to use it during playtime (solo or with a partner) or wearing it for longer periods of time throughout the day, this one will deliver bumping sensations as the internal balls move. It works just like some of the kegel exercisers – the more you move, the more arousing the internal balls with feel.

Because there are three different size beads, even those who are new to toys can enjoy this and work up to the larger sizes with time. If you're sharing this with someone who you're not fluid bonded with or between anal and vaginal fun, I highly recommend using a condom. Due to the fact that regular condoms will tend to swim on the beads, perhaps the small Toy Covers would work out better.

CLEANING:

Naturally, being all sealed with no motor to worry about these are waterproof, which makes them extremely easy for cleaning up. Simply use anti-bacterial soap, wipe and/or toy spray. Being TPR, it's not suitable for bleaching, dishwasher or boiling for sterilization.

STORAGE ~ PACKAGING:

The Rhapsodia arrived packaged up in a stylish solid cardboard box, which makes the perfect storage for keeping your toy safe. Lifting the magnetic lid reveals the amazing beads sitting snugly in dense foam behind a clear sheet of plastic. Along the front are two draws – the top one being more than twice as deep as the bottom one. The deeper draw houses the beads, while the lower one stores the bonus accessories. These include a simple silicone cock ring, one toy wipe (dated Jan 2012), water based Glissando lubricant (dated July 2013), a velvet drawstring pouch and an information book written in numerous languages.

EXPERIENCE:

I absolutely love the box design that all Close2You toys arrive in. It's really too nice to just throw out. Even though my babies live on display in a glass cabinet, I still can't bear to part with both the Close2You boxes I have.

I tried wearing my Lelo Luna ball around while the Rhapsodia was fully inserted. It was far easier than I imagined and a whole lot of fun with balls rolling around in both the front and back! Unlike the Emigi, the internal balls of this toy (and Luna Beads) move very freely and can be easily felt, which I thoroughly enjoy.

At first I was somewhat concerned about the slim neck being drawn into my ass, but I didn't experience that at all. With the two larger balls being quite prominent, there's no chance (at least not for me) that they will slip out either. I had to be rather forceful pushing, while also pulling the handle gently for removal.
