The Pocket Exotics Anal-T is an inexpensive anal vibe from California Exotics. I was pretty excited to try this thing out because it seemed to have just about the right length and angle to get in an give my P-spot a buzz. The day it came in the mail I was a little bit dismayed at my timing with the post office, because I had just masturbated before checking my box, so I didn't get to try it out upon arrival. Instead, I found some batteries (2x AA) and played around with the vibrations for a few minutes, and I have to say that even on the lowest setting (1/4), this thing has some pretty impressive buzz.

The batteries are housed in a separate power pack from the business end of the toy, and there is a decent length of wire provided that links the two. I found that the wire was long enough for the power pack/controller to sit on the floor or tub if I was standing up and using it without tugging on the toy. On the vibrator part the Anal-T is made of hard plastic that is coated with Velvetcoat, which is a rubbery like coating that has a texture that I find somewhat like silicone, except that it's obviously not squishy at all since it is just a thin coating over plastic. Velvet coat is Phthalates free, and you can use whatever lube you like with it. There was no odor at all upon opening the package for the toy. One thing that bothered me about this toy was that there is a seam on it just above the spherical portion that runs around it. I'm assuming that this where they slide on the coating during the manufacturing process. I couldn't feel it during use, but it makes it a little bit harder to clean the vibe well.

The pocket Anal T has about 3" of insertable length. This is a decent length to get at my P-spot, and the size of this vibe should be okay for novice users, although using it can take a little skill (more on that in a bit). The controller part has two buttons with little LED lights that indicate what power setting you are on. The buttons are behind a plastic film, so everything is watertight. Indeed, California Exotics claims that this toy is waterproof, and I have tested in the shower a few times without a hiccup, so I can at least attest to the fact that it's splash proof; I am hesitant to use it in a bath, though I could just be overly cautious.

I have used this toy a bunch over the last little while, and I have to say that it has grown on me. My initial tries with it were OK, but really nothing special. The vibe slides in pretty easily and feels reasonably good once in. Turn the power on, and I can tell immediately that the tip of it is buzzing right on my P-spot. It feels lovely, although it's really just that...a pleasant feeling. On a few occasions I've had moments where I felt like I could possibly try for a hands free orgasm, but the problem is with the shape of this toy; it is not designed to stay in that well. I have found that using it properly means that I really need to be contracting my sphincter muscles, PC muscles and all my other muscles down there that I normally use when using a hands free prostate massager or plug. Unlike those toys however, I have to work my muscles to keep this thing in. It does enhance the vibrations quite a bit, but it is also an impediment to going over the edge into that wonderful pspot orgasm ravine. Speaking of vibrations, this thing is fairly quiet when it is inserted and at max power. It's a little bit loud when you are holding it in your hand. If they had only made a longer thin portion for the anus to hold onto, I think this toy could be a real winner actually.

So I used the Anal-T primarily as an aid to regular masturbation. It works fairly well in this capacity, but I have a really difficult time holding it in when I am coming. I actually found that sitting in certain positions made it all but impossible to keep it in. If I kept my legs raised it would stay in much better. Standing up seemed to work OK, but I would need to hold it in with my hands as I was about to have an orgasm.

To sum up the pocket Anal T, I will say that this is a toy that has provided me with some pleasure, but knowing what I know I'm not sure I would buy it. I'll probably reach for it every now and again, but I have a bunch of other plugs that are just plain better at giving my prostate some love. Like I said above, if the portion where the anus is supposed to grab was narrower and a little bit longer, I think I would like the Anal T a whole lot more.

I have used this occasionally since reviewing it, and it is really just one of those toys in my collection that isn't really great at anything. It is inexpensive and has decent vibrations, but quite a few other toys offer the same qualities in a better package. The last few times I've used this little T, I've switched it out for a different toy and always been happy that I did. I don't want to completely pan this anal vibe, because I think it might be perfect for some anal play beginners, but for anyone with experience, I would pass it by.
