Your standard vanilla starter plug

My overall impression of the Backend Starter is that it is good but not great and you will want to upgrade soon after using it a couple of times.

The Backend Starter is just that. It is meant to introduce you to the wonderful world of anal pleasure at an affordable price and non-intimidating size. This plug is definitely for people who want to try a little backdoor fun but were a bit intimidated by some of the other plugs on the market.

First Impression: The first thing you notice about this plug is the friendly purple color. Next thing you'll notice is the size. The Backend Starter is not much larger than a finger or two. Then you feel it. It is soft but maintains its shape when squeezed. Also, the tip is nicely rounded for easy use.

Design: The overall shape of the Backend Starter is pretty basic. There's a nice tapered pinky sized point that slowly flares out to a width of just an inch. It is insertable just over two inches before you reach the narrow neck. The neck itself is just under an inch long. Once inserted this plug is very comfortable. The base is over 1.5 inches wide, and you can use its suction cup sticking to a hard surface for even more fun. My only concern with the base is the width. It is almost too narrow and flexible to be safe. I did not have this plug slip too far in during play, but I could see it happening if you are not careful. I think it may be possible to use this toy in a harness if you want to do a little gender play/pegging.

Material: This toy is made of TPR which is fairly safe for anal use. Not as good as silicone, glass or metal for sterilization but good. I would recommend covering it with a condom if you are planning on sharing it or want to make it easier to clean. The material is a little sticky and collects dust and lint in storage so you will want to wash it before and after using it. The TPR does have a slight scent to it but you should not notice the smell once it is inserted.

Use: The Backend Starter is used as you would expect it to be. In the back end. This toy does require lubricant as you would expect. A little water based lube goes a long way. After using this toy, you may be a little more comfortable buying something larger.
