I needed a really sharp looking leather collar for my husband to wear. Something that looked like it was meant for a man to wear. All the one's I have are just too thin and feminine looking. So when I came across the Spartacus Locking Collar With Mini Bondage Rings, I felt I had found just what I was looking for and I was right.

The Spartacus locking collar is a very sturdy, high quality thick leather collar. It is very smooth and its weight feels substantial, though not uncomfortably so. The main part of the collar has a double layer of leather and is stitched together. It is 2 inches wide and 19 inches long. There are no rough edges and it doesn't cut in anywhere.

Riveted on top of that is another strip of leather that is 1 inch wide and 20 ½ inches long. It is held down by six sets of double rivets, giving it a very cool look. Between three of the sets of rivets are three D rings each with an O shaped bondage ring attached to it. At the front is a buckle, with a loop on the end of the pin. After putting the pin through the right hole (the holes are long enough to accommodate the looped pin), you can add a lock, though you'll have to use your own because this does not come with a lock. Hanging below the buckle is a small loop of leather with a triangular shaped ring, which can be used to attach a leash, which is what I used it for. Actually a leash can be used on any of the rings. I'm not sure why they call these “mini” bondage rings. They're actually pretty good sized and all of the metal hardware is made of heavy stainless steel.

Granted, this is not an inexpensive piece, but it is a quality one, it is made to last. This collar should be able to hold up to whatever abuse you give it for many years to come. Also using a good leather cleaner should help keep it supple and in good shape.

When the collar arrived I immediately tried it on my own neck. This is too large and bulky for my tiny neck. First of all, I had to use the tightest hole and because of it's width it hit both my jawbone and collarbone at the same time. Plus, it didn't look right on my tiny neck. But like I said, this wasn't for me. I just wanted to give it a try and see how I looked in it.

When my husband got home, I had him try it on and it looked so hot on him! Yes! This is exactly what I bought it for. The night he wore it for me, I had him wear it with the leather leash attached, which I bought to go with it. Even hotter looking! He wore it most of the night and found it very comfortable, even with me leading him around by it.

I still love this collar on my husband! He looks so hot in it! I wish it had been something that I could have worn as well. But it's just too big on me. Which is ok, it will just have to remain something that he can dress up in for me. He really likes it as well and feels that it is very comfortable. And it is so well made it should last us forever.
