Acceptable but Not in Love

I love that we finally have a new color in BDSM gear. Plus Neon green, which these totally are by the way, is my dominant's favorite color. They are very sturdy, but the quality could have been taken a little farther with a finished lining. Overall, these are serviceable, but the fit of the collar and lack of lining really drags these down.

Use

These are a pretty sturdy set of cuff. They still have a foam lining, so they aren't as intense as some other options on the market, but they still hold up to our level of play which is pretty rough on restraints. I have easily destroyed cuffs that are in a similar price range, so I would be comfortable recommending these for more advanced folks if they don't mind a few design issues.

The cuffs and collar can be used separately and in whatever configuration you would like. Just don't use them for suspension. They aren't designed to be used for suspension, so don't do it.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

So, I have one major complaint about these cuffs. They took a very nice cuff and sewed mildly itchy foam on the back. The foam isn't covered. It looks bad, doesn't breathe well, and is, well, irritating on my skin. This is a huge issue for me because I am a brat. I fight against my restraints, and these can become quite uncomfortable.

That complaint out of the way, these do hold up very well. All the metal parts are well attached. I really fought against these, and there isn't a bit of budging or bending of the rivets, d-rings, or buckles.

The cuffs are 9.75" while the leather strap is another 3.75" past that. They are about 2.5" wide. At the tightest, these are 8" long, which is actually one loose then the tightest setting; I couldn't get it on to the tightest. At the loosest, they are 11.5". So, for some, these may double as ankle cuffs as well. That's not the case for me.

The collar is 15.75" long with the strap being an additional 5.25". It's 2.5" wide as well, but it is very inflexible. It is like a starter posture collar. Not quite a posture collar, but it is heading towards that. I can get the collar on the tightest setting which is 13" while the loosest is 18.75".

Also, I would like to note that these look very neon green to me. NOT yellow.

Performance

The foam is itchy at best and chafes at worst. To be fair, I have very sensitive skin, but these are not cuffs I will wear for a long period of time. Unfortunately, I don't see the appeal of having a set of cuffs that I will wear only for a short period of time. We will probably end up adding a liner at some point to make these more comfortable.

The do hold up to rough play, and they don't come as stiff as other cuffs, so they are quite easy to use.

Care and Maintenance

These are going to need the same care as any leather item. Store them however you like as long as it is cool and dry. They don't need to be kept away from specific types of materials. You can't get them completely wet, but you can wipe them down and dry them off if you need to.

Cuffs and collars are easier to use if you store them closed. They bend easier that way.

You will want to use a leather conditioner on them fairly regularly. If you do so, they will last you a very long time.
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging was kind of anticlimactic, but when it comes to cuffs, any packaging is more then what I normally get. The front and back have a topless model wearing the collar and the cuffs. She is covering her breasts with the cuffs, so she isn't revealed, but I also wouldn't call it discreet. The sides are covered in the product description in multiple languages. Inside, there is a brochure that has tons of great info about how to maintain the collar and cuffs in a bunch of languages as well.

Follow-up commentary
The sizing on this is just weird for us, so we never seem to end up using them. I can wear the collar, but the two ends aren't actually together which looks bad and nether of us like that. We also hate how hot these get.

How odd that they didn't cover that foam with fabric! Pinching pennies to lower the price, I suppose. Great review!
