So I have to admit, the thing that really drew me to this toy was its visual appeal. And let me say, it definitely delivers in the visual aesthetic department. The frosted blue and hot pink plastic straps that form this toy make it cute and sleek without making it look too much like a child's toy. It's really a refreshing break from all of that dark and dreary black leather we so often see in BDSM gear. It's also got a relatively small and lightweight handle, which means it's pretty travel friendly.

Another big draw for me was the material. The Fresh Tassel Whip is vegan, a godsend considering how hard it is to find BDSM gear that is leather-free. Only problem is, there's a reason why leather is so popular with whips. It's soft; it's pliable; it has give. Unfortunately, the material here is somewhat lacking in these qualities. The plastic is flexible, yes, but it is also somewhat stiff and has edges that are a bit rougher than what you'd find with animal skin products. It makes for a nice sting, especially considering the lightness of the flogger as a whole, but if you're looking for more of a heavy thud out of your toy, look elsewhere. The lightness also means that you can pack quite a wallop without much physical effort. It's super nice for long play sessions, but watch that you don't go all out with this toy. You might not know your own strength!

Finally, for a flogger, Fresh Tassel Whip is pretty cost effective. The design is very sturdy and the price is pretty moderate in the world of floggers.

Overall, I'd say this is a really fun toy. It's good for a first flogger, especially if you don't want to invest a large amount of money in a flogger. It totally wins me over in the aesthetic department, and it's a BDSM toy that I can buy guilt-free as a vegan. As a top, I really like wielding it because it's so light and cute and easy to use. As a bottom, though, while the sting is nice, I'm still looking for my dream vegan thuddy flogger.

At this point I've had the Fresh tassel whip for a couple of years. It's still my favorite toy to show off to people, just because it's so darn cute. I showed it off last week at my college's kink club show and tell and it was a big hit. At the same time, it's good for showing to vanilla folks who are used to thinking of black leather and scary metal spikes or whatnot.

In the bedroom, at least when I'm on the receiving end, this cutie honestly isn't my favorite, mostly because of the sting I talked about in my initial review. It is a hell of a lot of fun to use on other people, though, so I still have fun with it from time to time.
