Don't Judge It By Its Looks

The fresh tassel whip gives you the option to tickle or torture. It comes in a variety of sizes, and the color scheme is playful and fun. Best of all, it's inexpensive, so you can give it a try even if you have doubts.

Use

The fresh tassel whip is a bit non-intimidating at first glance. Don't let looks fool you. If anything, the innocent blue and pink design makes for an even better tease. This whip can deliver a variety of sensations. Rubbing the tassels of the whip across skin could make anyone squirm, but a heavy sting can also be delivered. It is all up to the user.

I would not necessarily say that this item will appeal to beginners. At the very least, it takes a knowledgeable partner to know what hurts so good and what just plain hurts. I started off with a simple cardboard-lined paddle rather than a whip, and I think that would be the route I would recommend for novices. After all, with a decent swing, this item can even sting through clothing.

Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features

The handle of the whip is a flexible plastic wrapped in harder plastic (similar to that of the tassels. There is a metal ring attached at the end, which I presume is to hang the item up. The tassels themselves are hard plastic, and they are about 5 inches long. There are 12 tassels total: 6 blue and 6 pink.

The material of the tassels is polyethylene, which is listed as faux leather on Eden. It is actually a commonly used plastic, which feels nothing like leather to me. It's not particularly forgiving, and I would say that it has somewhat of the consistency of twist ties. The tassels are a bit thinner though.

There is a selling point for this item as far as animal-lovers go. Other whips often include real leather, while this item doesn't contain animal products. Unfortunately, in my case, I actually really like the smell of real leather as opposed to the non-existant smell of this whip. I do prefer the ease of cleaning this item as opposed to the complications of cleaning leather though.

The handle of this whip is about as wide as one of my fingers, and it (like the tassels) is also around 5 inches long. The material that wraps around the handle goes up about the width of my hand. There are two other size options available depending on your personal preference though.

Performance

It's a little bit hard for me to evaluate the performance of this whip as I don't have a lot of similar items in my toy collection. However, I know that some prefer a light whipping that won't leave marks while others enjoy the welts of a hard whipping. This item can provide either. However, the shorter version (the one I own) doesn't have as many ways to be used as the longer versions of this whip. I see others knotting their whips, but there really isn't the length to work with on this particular version.

Care and Maintenance

This whip can be cleaned with water and non-detergent soap. However, I'm a little skeptical of submerging the handle of this item just because I don't know that it would dry well. Luckily, I don't see this item needing cleaned too often nor do I see myself cleaning the handle with more than a wipe.

There is a metal ring with a removable chain, so this item can be hung up by either. However, I'm a little shy for such storage. I just throw my whip into my toy drawers in my closet. It's extremely easy to store and doesn't take up much space.

This item is also travel-friendly based on its size and how lightweight it is. I've never flown, and I got varying answers when I looked up whether the nickel in the ring on the handle could set off a metal detector. I'd love for someone to share that information with me.

Packaging

There really is no packaging for the whip. However, the removable chain does have a little plastic clamshell attached. There is really no need or purpose for the clamshell with the "fresh" advertisement inside. I actually found it mildly annoying and tossed it. At the very least, it wasn't crude and only pictured a woman's face.
