Anticipation in Darkness

The Spellbound Eye Mask from Coquette can be used as a sensory deprivation tool during steamy scenes, an accent to a costume or lingerie ensemble, or as an actual sleep mask. It's comfortable enough for long-term use, durable enough to last you a long time, and it fits most men and women.

This mask is 7" long (not counting the elastic bands) and 3" tall in the center. It is sized as 'One Size Fits All'. It has a sleek, black cloth edge surrounding the inner metallic silver cloth; both areas are smooth/silky to the touch. The back, where it sits against your skin, is covered by a breathable black fabric that doesn't slide around. The mask itself is padded nicely all the way through -- much more so than other masks I have had -- with what feels like soft foam. There are two separate elastic bands for holding it in place during wear. Made of 50% Acetate and 50% Nylon, this mask is both durable and classically beautiful!

Despite being a little too large for my face, the mask fit comfortably and snugly around my eyebrows and cheekbones. The separate elastic bands were wonderful for adjusting the fit to myself. I found that putting one elastic band over my ear and one under it gave a secure fit without being too tight. I did think that the nose ridge could have been a bit higher. However, with a little fiddling, I was able to get it sit right enough.

The only visible area outside of the mask was right on either side of my nose. However, the gaps were small and I was not able to see very much at all. The mask was completely opaque otherwise.

My husband found it to be the same, although the mask was a little too small for his face, just as it was a little too big for mine. However, it's one-size, and that's par for the course. It didn't detract from the aesthetics or function of the mask.

Due to being 50% Acetate, I would suggest dry-cleaning the mask if cleaning is required. For storage, it lays flat enough to fit anywhere. It can slide right back into its thick cardboard packaging for protection if needed.

The package of the mask is a thick cardboard envelope, held closed with a flap and tape. It is fully reusable/recyclable.

This is just personal preference, but I found the tags on the inside of the mask to be incredibly annoying and uncomfortable, so I removed them after the initial use.

I definitely recommend this mask for beginner or intermediate fetish play, bondage, and just plain sexy fun. Also, as a bonus, it can even help you sleep!
