..because Duct Tape isn't perfect for everything!!!

This is a fun and inexpensive way to wrap up your partner for a game of "let's play hostage". Or wrap yourself up as a gift!

Pipedream Products proudly boasts "Put your lover in a sticky situation with this non-sticky bondage tape."

The tape really is non-sticky. It only sticks to itself. It won't pull out your hair, it won't rip off your skin, and it can be re-used for all you people who like to live green but prefer your restraints pink or purple.

What is Bondage Tape?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Bondage tape is a 2-3 inch wide strip of thin plastic material that adheres only to itself, without any adhesive, that is typically intended to be used in erotic bondage. Since it does not stick to the hair or skin, a bottom can be tightly bound and/or gagged without causing harm when the tape is removed.

Some tape is thick enough that it can be unwound, unwrinkled and rewound for reuse, but usually it is simply and quickly removed by cutting it with blunt-tipped scissors.

If the tape is applied relatively flat on the body, the risk of losing circulation is minimal. However, until the top has sufficiently practiced, the tape is easily twisted, in which case it becomes like plastic string and thus more likely to pinch and possibly cause a loss of circulation.

************************************************************************************************************
I also would like to add that if you are using bondage tape as a gag, don't cover both the nose and the mouth. If your companion is a mouth breather or congested, don't bother with using tape as a gag. Breathing is even more important than circulation. Also, never wrap tape around a throat.

The cool thing is that this tape is limitless. You can make yourself temporary PVC clothing like a neat little pair of shorts and a bikini top. Or you can be a purple mummy this Halloween. Or make PVC boots! If you hate the stuff, just use it to wrap gifts!!!

It also makes a non irritating blind fold as well. You can blindfold your partner, tie him or her to a chair or bed, use feathers, floggers, paint, whip cream, etc. It's fabulous for sensation play. You have them right where you want, all helpless and tied up in purple PVC, and purple is less intimidating to most people than black.
Experience
My partner likes to be restrained, but having been "behind walls" before, does not like the handcuffs, and ropes can leave abrasions unless they are really silky. This is a quick and inexpensive way to restrain someone.

I also found this a really painless way to bind breasts for FTM (Female - to - male) people who want to go without their binders and try something new. I found out it stayed on securely through 100 degree weather, although it was hot and non absorbent.
Follow-up commentary
Still finding more uses for tape. It is a bit hard to re-use, hard to get the kinks out. Great for making mouth gags and binding people to furniture, etc.

Nice review Kuuipogal. Do you have experience with rope play as well? If so, do you prefer this tape to rope now? Does it hold as securely? Would it possible to use this tape with someone who enjoys struggling? Or is it not strong enough?
  • Contributor: deceased
Yes, I have experience with rope play. For some people I prefer tape. Like I said, less intimidating, especially when its pink or purplr. It was strong enough that a large person can struggle and not free themselves if you tape correctly. I did wind up cutting them free with a knife.

    Excellent safety information. Nice Review!

Wow. That Wikipedia info is so inappropriate here.
  • Contributor: deceased
No, I thought the Wilkipedia Info-esp the safety information was wholly appropriate. I have seen both temporary and permanent nerve damage in the ED from "bondage" games.Especially were the arms were tied iin a crucifixtion position or above (like to bed posts).

Really informative review! Seems like tape could be a lot different to other bondage toys in terms of safety, so well done in mentioning it. Love the idea about making clothes with it, imagine my boyfriend would like that Smile
