Chain tickler - whip discontinued by Sportsheets - review by Airen Wolf

Who would have thought 6 chains attached to a PVC handle could be so much fun? I was skeptical but in the spirit of sensual exploration I decided to give it a try. Ok ok I wanted some bondage gear so I also got some sensual products for Sigel.

The tickler arrives in a plastic bag with a card attached, the same card that came with the Fluffer Tickler by Sportsheets which peaked Sigel's interest in the Chain Tickler. It is a simple toy but it has such a range of uses.

Like all Sportsheets ticklers the Chain Tickler has a PVC handle that is flexible and features a 3.5 inch soft grip making holding the toy with lubed fingers easier. The stem of the handle is approximately 10 inches long and very flexible, before ending in a softer PVC cup covering the area where the chains are attached. The chains are very firmly attached and no amount of tugging will budge them! The chains are beaded and measure almost 5 inches, I will admit I thought that 6 chains would be too few until I started to use the toy.

This toy isn't meant to be used as a flogger but as a tickler so the 6 chains work well to stimulate the area but not overwhelm it so that you loose a bit of sensation. It is amazing for temperature play; using a glass of warm, not scalding, water and another glass of cold, even ice cold, water you can alternate between hot and cold metal tracing all over your lover's skin. You can use a flogger to tenderize your partner's skin and then run the metal chains over the sensitized area to watch them struggle and squirm. The handle makes a great crop giving you effectively two toys for a very low cost.

Cleaning the toy is as easy as running it under some warm water and using a mild soap if you really feel it's necessary. This isn't a toy meant to draw blood though other bodily fluids might get on the toy. If you use water on your chain tickler you will want to carefully dry them to prevent oxidation, though it's a very low risk for the most part.

Be aware that these chains can actually leave welts and break the skin if you strike with force. It isn't a pleasant type of pain either. This truly is best used for tickling and sensation play rather than flogging.

We were skeptical that this would feel good but pleasantly surprised by how exciting this toy made temperature play. Lemme tell ya an ice cold set of chains being slowly dragged over your sensitive parts is a unique never to be forgotten experience!

OK it's been a few months since I wrote the review for this tickler and after all this time I still have yet to find any oxidation of the metal or wear and tear on the toy as a whole! We love this toy for temperature play and icewater is great for cooling down the chains. Dragging it across the bound body of your victim...errr partner, is an experience I totally recommend.
It is good for very light sensory play/whipping and can deliver quite the sting to a small area.
For the price this baby has held up to some pretty rough abuse and is still going strong.
