I've come to really love bondage and try and incorporate it often in my sex life. I needed cuffs that satisfied the following criteria:

- Wrist cuffs must be comfortable - bruises in my daily life are conspicuous.

- Non threatening look as the act of bondage in itself is enough for me.

- Easily removed in case of emergency. (Believe it or not I foreplan for a fireman coming in and wondering why the hell I'm hog-tied in the middle of a fire.)

- Nothing cheap looking, or feeling.

- Sturdy, long lasting, aesthetically pleasing cuffs that will withstand my many wriggles, giggles and orgasms.

The Pretty in pink wrist cuffs satisfied all the above. When researching them I found they were made of a leather and suede mix. The suede covers the inside portion of the cuffs and the black strip on the outside. It's soft and malleable enough to be comfortable - I didn't want something that will pamper me through a bondage session. The suede is easily cleaned with a suede cleaner. I tend rub the cream into the suede in small circles with a washcloth and leave it for 48 hours before the next use. You can also waterproof it before hand with waterproof spray commonly used on leather handbags, coats and shoes.

The pink leather on the cuff is tough. After a few sessions it softened a little - giving it that used slightly battered look. Leather is waterproof - but to further protect the cuffs you can waterproof it using the same method that I mentioned before. Leather is easily cleaned with mild soap and water, or using leather cleaner. All the waterproof and cleaning products you might want you'll find in a handbag/shoe store.

I have abnormally small wrists, therefore the cuffs were buckled at its tightest. I found that I could move the cuffs around and slide them up but couldn't fully remove them. They were comfortable to wear, and the D rings on each of the cuffs were so sturdy, that when buckled together they withstood all my attempts of yanking my hands apart. We experimented binding my hands behind my back and to each bed post. You do need a larger D ring or a snap hook to attach these cuffs to anything other toy or surface. You can also improvise using scarves or rope|Japanese silk love rope. I haven't yet tried my cuffs with my spreader bar but when I do, I'll definitely be writing a follow up.

The cuffs put me in sensory overload as I felt the weight of them bring my wrists down slightly, the leather first hard and cool; then later warm and soft against my skin. I inhaled deeply and the gorgeous leather smell was an arousing precursor to actually feeling the helplessness of being bound. My tiny wrists were swallowed by a thick band of black and pink, the metal rings adding a more intimidating air.

My ankles are also small enough for the cuffs to restrain them. I've felt aroused just by having my ankles bound. We haven't tried tying my ankles down to anything yet so I don't know if the additional leg strength makes much of an impact on the D rings.

Finally all my partner had to say was that the cuffs looked hot especially when I was squirming around in them. The style was a hugely influencing factor as the interlocking steel rings on the front were extremely sexy in a dangerous sort of manner.

My partner handcuffed my hands behind my back with a larger D ring binding the wrist cuffs together. He held me there on my knees, teasing me and manhandling me around while the cuffs stayed firmly in place. I could feel them unyielding around my wrists, however they did not bite into me or leave any marks or bruises.
