This paddle is made from leather. It actually does have the leather smell to it as well, and while it will fade over time, it's a very sexy smell for most kinksters. The paddle seems to be made of three different layers of leather: there are two black, firm, tough layers of leather with the pink layer of leather overlaying to make the kitty. The kitty's details are stitching in with strong, well-done stitching, and all the layers are stitched together as well as sanded around the edges for a very smooth finish. This paddle is put together with quality, and it definitely shows. along with that, the paddle is not-at-all flexible, so it does deliver strong blows without moving or flexing, so expect it to hold up to a lot of abuse.

Handling this paddle is actually really easy. If you've had problems in the past with paddles slipping out of your hands, it won't happen with this paddle. That is because this paddle features a little hook on the end of the paddle. For storage, this paddle does not have a hanging strap, but it does have the curved tail, so the curved tail could hang the paddle up somewhere if need be for storage.
