So you're new to sensation play, huh? Honestly, I can't think of a better classification for someone who would buy the Sinner's Naughty Playtime Kit. Great for newbies or those merely curious, but you can find better stuff out there.

Let's start at the beginning. This kit comes with three items: a feather tickler with hot pink and black feathers, a pink padded eye mask with two head straps on the back, and a pink rubber whip with short handle and wrist strap.

The packaging is a clear plastic clamshell and the printed insert has the product name on the front. The back of the insert has a picture of a blond woman in a black dress with a half naked man looking either constipated or excited while half naked and sort of wearing the eye mask. From the packaging alone, there's no mistaking this is a "naughty" kit. As someone who prefers a bit of discretion, it's humorous more than anything. The people are posing and I seriously think he looks like he's not enjoying himself at all. Wow, says great things for the product, Adam & Eve (the makers of this kit.)

The feather tickler is probably more suited as a feather duster than anything. When I slid the protective packing sleeve off the feather portion, little bits of feather flew into the air and landed everywhere. This was before even using it! Feathers are great for sensation play and I highly recommend them, but get some good quality feathers. You don't want to be tickling your partners nose or facial area and have to wait while they spit out bits of feathers. The handle of the tickler is covered in a black tape that is meant to look like leather. The handle kind of smells. Yes, I smelled it. The tickler itself is about a foot long, including the length of the feathers.

The eyemask to me seems like a good attempt at such an item, but the nose cut out allows light in. Anybody wearing it could look down and see what's going on. I have a large head so I was worried the back straps would be too tight on my head, and they were slightly too tight. I do like that there are two narrow straps instead of one wider strap though because it stays in place better that way. The mask smells as well. Ugh. The pink is a polyester canvas material while the backside that rests on your face is a black silk-like material, but clearly not silk. The edges are covered in a black material.

The whip is actually my favorite part of this kit. The pink rubber strands are approximately 10 inches long with the handle being just under 5 inches long. Rubber whips are one of my favorite things because they produce a great sting when they hit the skin. They can be used gently for a little sting or harder for a bigger thud. The strands of this whip are a pinky, almost lilac color. The handle is wrapped in black tape that simulates a leather material. The wrist strap is a good feature because you don't want the whip to fly out of your hand in the heat of the moment. It's attached to the handle of the whip with a silver stud, probably a push pin. The strands themselves are stretchy and if they catch on something may break off. I would suggest hanging this whip to store so the strands don't get tangled.

I tried to think of how you'd clean the items in this set if need be and each item has a different story. Feathers? Okay, I have no idea how you clean feathers. Just don't get them dirty in the first place. That's the best advice I have there. The mask can mostly likely be thrown in the wash machine if need be. The whip's strands can be washed off with soap and water and left to air dry.

All three of the included items in this kit are designed primarily for light sensation play. I don't recommend this kit for anybody more experienced or looking for items that will hold up beyond a few play sessions. The phrase on the packaging insert definitely fits: "Sold as a novelty only." That's the best use for this kit. It's novelty factor. Maybe it would make a cute gag present for a bride at her shower. Honestly, I can't think of why I'd buy it given the opportunity.
