My 1st Gag

The main use for this gag is pretty obvious: this gag goes in your mouth (or your lover's mouth). It's part humiliation and part obedience really. The trust factor comes in with how long your partner will make you wear the gag: will you slobber all over yourself and have a sore jaw, or will you wear the gag just long enough to be teased (and then promptly find your mouth busy elsewhere)? This is also really great for building up to sex if you are turned on by your partner's noises. What can I say? I once had an ex who would ask me questions while I performed oral on him, and he loved the noises I made as I attempted to answer. This is really the same idea. Your mouth is full, and so you have to groan or moan with a full mouth while your partner teases you. Maybe your non-gagged partner can even throw in a little dirty talk if that's what you're into. I personally love to be talked dirty to, but my own dirty talk is rather amateur, so this works perfectly for me.

As for whom this product will work for, I'm new to ball gag's myself. I've never even looked at one prior to this, so I'm not really sure what brought me to review this item. That being said, I do realize there are actual ball gags labeled specifically for beginners with smaller balls. This is not a ball gag that is specifically marketed to beginners. I quickly saw why...after just a few minutes of wearing this ball gag, my jaw already hurt, and I was drooling on myself. I tried unsuccessfully to swallow my spit with the gag in. I also couldn't figure out where I liked to have my tongue placed, which is kind of coincidental as I just read a forum thread on this topic. Another thing that was awkward was the gag seemed to bite into the corners of my mouth...I even had marks following. On the more positive side, this was easy to put on by myself, and the wide availability for adjustment meant that I could even secure it over my ponytail. All in all, this isn't really a beginner's ball gag, but I wouldn't say it's only for the pros either. It just takes a little time to adjust to. I plan to build up to having it in for longer periods of time.

I'm quite happy with the leather. I think it's the look of it more than anything...incredibly sexy. The ball on the other hand is made of rubber, and the smell is pretty strong...even after rinsing it off. I also noticed that the ball came wrapped in plastic, and I found out that it's because this ball tends to attract lint and dirt. This isn't really a great statement for something that goes in one's mouth. I will continue to wrap the rubber in plastic wrap though to discourage having a dirty ball in my mouth (yeah...it sounds funny to me too). Leather is a 7 on the safety scale. Its ability to withstand time is good, but it's difficult to really clean. When wiping something with a damp cloth is your cleaning option, you don't necessarily want to get bodily fluids on it. On the other hand, rubber is a 3 on the safety scale and porous. While I find it easy to clean the rubber itself, it can't be sterilized. I'm not too knowledgeable on the bacteria of the mouth, so I'm not sure I'd share this ball gag with a partner. The rubber smell and taste takes some getting used to, but it's also a bit of a distraction from the sore jaw, so I'll put up with it. Oh, and this will basically fit a large range of head sizes thanks to the numerous holes and buckle clasp (kind of like a belt). The measurements given on Eden are: 24 inches in length with a 5.5" circumference, and 1.75" diameter.

This ball gag wasn't marketed to beginners as I said, so it worked better than expected for someone who has never even looked at a ball gag before. My jaw did get sore quickly, but this is something that I'm told that you have to work up to. Even with a gag specifically for beginners, it's unlikely one is going to be comfortable with a gag in for 30 minutes his or her first time. I didn't find any unexpected uses for this item or alternative uses. Basically, a ball gag is a ball gag. I was really quite pleased with the ease of taking this off and putting it on by myself though, and the ability to adjust the length so widely and easily was also a big benefit. I certainly wasn't disappointed!

The leather can only be wiped down with a damp rag. If it's really dirty, they say mild soap can be used, but I only see these instructions being useful on one side of the leather of this gag. One side is "finished," while the other side that faces the wearer is basically a little rough. The rubber ball can be wiped off with a washcloth, and soap can be used. It can't be sterilized. I'm not a pro at caring for leather, but I do believe there are leather conditioners. I don't personally see myself investing in that kind of maintenance though. As I stated above, I plan to wrap the rubber ball in plastic wrap, as it came packaged that way. It seems like the best way to avoid lint, dirt, dust, etc. There is an actual plastic case that this comes in. It's nothing fancy, but I'll use it for storage for the time being as well. The only thing that I'm especially worried about caring for are the metal rings on either side of the ball. They already seem a little spotty, and I'm not convinced that they won't wear quite easily.

This comes in a simple clam shell plastic packaging. There is a picture of both a man and a woman on the top of the package...each with the ball gag in their mouths. However, the balls of their gags are red, whereas mine is black. The packaging itself is red, black, and white. It even features a couple of hearts. The back of the packaging gives a little more information, but not much. It also gives information for another one of the company's products, which I found slightly confusing. The packaging also boasts that removing one of the senses through this ball gag will heighten your other senses, which wasn't something that I necessarily felt. Then again, I haven't worked up to wearing this for long periods of time, and I'm pretty sure I had the taste of rubber in my mouth the entire time. The ball itself does come wrapped in plastic.
