Purple fur line paddle by Spartacus - review by Madeira

This is a fantastic, very "whippy" paddle. It's great for any couple, from more experienced fetish players to people just exploring the world of kink. Its soft furry side is great for "warming up" a sub for a rough spanking, or cooling down after particularly intense play. The leather side is great for a nice intense spanking. The fur side doesn't have much sting obviously, and takes a lot of effort to cause pain, whereas the leather side has lots of sting and causes intense pain with minimal effort.

It's also a fairly large paddle. You'll really get a full cheek with this toy, which is great for spanking the buttocks and thighs but can be a little much in regards to breast spanking, so for that activity you may want to exercise caution.

The design is nice, a flexible handle and stiffer head allow for a decent amount of force to be applied to the submissive. The paddle is shaped a bit like a classic hand mirror, with an oval shaped head and narrow handle. One side is black leather, the other side of the head is covered with wonderfully soft purple faux fur. The head is fairly stiff, and the handle is a bit "wigglier", meaning when swung it "whips" a bit. Personally, I like this in a paddle, I find with the right technique, you can get more pain with less effort.

It's nicely stitched together, and with proper care it should last through many many spankings.

Admittedly the design can be a little bit clumsy because the head is so much bigger than the handle, but once you get the hang of it, it's really not problematic.

It's also not heavy enough for extreme impact play, but for that I would really recommend buying a wooden paddle rather than a leather one.

I really do like this paddle. The fur makes for an excellent warm up to spanking and then the leather provides a wonderful sting without you having to expend too much effort. It also leaves the spanked area nice and red, so if you like a blushed bottom this is a good paddle for you. As with most whippier toys it tends to work better if used to give repeated blows rather than harder blows.

It's also a fairly noisy toy when used with the leather side. It really does provide a nice "smacking" noise, which is a big plus for me, though not a big plus if you're looking for something discreet/quiet. The fur side is much quieter and would probably not be heard through a closed door.

This is not a difficult toy to care for, a little leather cleaner on the leather, and a lint brush on the fuzz if it gets fuzzy and you're good. Store in a cool dry place, and you have a toy that will last for years and years to come. I keep it hanging from a rack on my bedroom door with my other flogging toys
