Neoprene as Bondage…?

Use

The Resist No Evil Cuffs are just that, cuffs for one’s wrists (or extremely small ankles?) to provide a little restraint for whatever it is you want to do… I suggest anyone who knows anything of or has delved into any sort of bondage already just skip past these, unless you want something you don’t need to hide from the kids (new cat leash anyone?). Anyone thinking about maybe trying a little bondage out, but is too freaked by all the “harder” BDSM items, these are a great introduction item, but be prepared to sail right past these quickly too.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The cuffs themselves are made out of neoprene which is very soft and padded, these won’t bite into you at all, save for the aplix (Velcro) possibly (I did not notice it). I have very thick wrists (I always have to use extension pieces with jewelry because the standard 7 ½-8-inch bands are too small) and I was able to get these around my wrists and have roughly an inch of overlapping to hold the cuffs secure. I believe most people could use these, but men with very large wrists may have issue getting these to hold.

That being said, all of the “hardware”, the D-rings and clips that hold the cuffs to the strapping, are heavy-duty plastic, I do not foresee these lasting through too much, as I can bow the plastic of the clips with only a little force (which for me isn’t much since I just had surgery on one of my hands).

Performance

As an introduction to bondage, these are great…they are soft, pliable, easily removed in a hurry if needed…overall, a very gentle way to explore this realm of sexual play. Since, we are in fact “noobs” into anything BDSM related, it was perfect for us. That being said though, we quickly decided these were “too soft” and are now looking for more “intermediate” versions of this “beginner’s” bondage toy.

Care and Maintenance

As long as you do not get anything on these cuffs, you should be able to simply toss them back in the drawer, bag, box, pillowcase (?), however you store them.

When they do get dirty, I suggest a mild soap and air-drying. We unclip them from the strap, toss them in a lingerie bag, and wash in the machine on gentle, followed by hanging to dry.

Personal comments

As I stated before, these are about as “beginner” as you can get in the world of bondage, save for maybe Vanilla Bondage Kit that has been discontinued (it was a mask and a sash in a pint-size ice cream container). The fact that the cuffs are made of neoprene (the stuff those soft, squishy laptop protecting sleeves are made of), makes these fairly non-threatening, even for someone who has never been restrained before! However, that also means they really are not going to withstand a lot of abuse, which in all honesty, these cuffs are going to get after a “get comfortable with the idea” period. The decorative blue “nubs” are just that…soft, squishy distractions with no real purpose other than to make the cuffs less threatening looking.
