The Soft Darkness ribbon blindfold by Eden Toys is a sensual addition to anyone's toy chest or play room. It can be used in the bedroom, at play parties, bachelorette/bachelor parties, dungeon scenarios or an endless array of other events. It is meant to cover the user's vision so that they cannot see what is in store for them, and is a staple in sensory deprivation play. Everyone can use this blindfold as it is gender-neutral in color and design.

The blindfold is also travel-friendly, so if you'd like to take it with you, all you need to do is simply fold it up in your luggage or purse for some on-the-go fun. It won't take up space, and it won't be obvious that it is for sexual encounters.

The blindfold is made from two pieces of satin material sewn together and has a smooth and luxurious feel. The material is body safe, and won't bleed onto the skin if exposed to a liquid of any kind. For such an affordable blindfold it feels sleek and expensive under the fingertips and is downright comfortable when tied around the face and head. The stitching of the blindfold is well done, and doesn't seem to be showing any signs of wear after extended use. It frames the face well, but some users may be able to peek out of the bottom where it frames the nose if they have a fairly large bridge. The blindfold measures 37-1/2" in total length and should fit most users. The length of the blindfold may vary but will always exceed 35" by estimation. The blindfold had some performance issues but is still a great product. The issues that my partner and I had were minimal, and had no impact if my girlfriend kept her eyes closed. The blindfold was simple to tie on, but where it lay on the bridge of the nose is where one issue arose. We were both able to see out or peek from the bottom of the blindfold and could see everything the other of us was doing if laid on our backs. This meant that the blindfold would always let light in, no matter what for us.

Another issue that arose was that I could partially see through the fabric. While not a clear image, I could clearly see the outline of my girlfriend while she moved about the room. She wears glasses, so she could not confirm that she could see me through the black satin fabric herself, but that she could see the light through the blindfold. While those two performance issues happened, the experience wasn't all bad.

The blindfold hugs the skin and envelopes it in soft material as you tie it in a bow or knot. Closing the eyes is imperative, as it's irritating to blink against the fabric if you tie the blindfold tightly to the face. This ensures that your partner won't have or keep their eyes open constantly, so they won't see what is going on. The blindfold may not block out all of the light but it does block out some of it, and this darkened visual adds to the mystery of what your partner has planned for you, making things all the more exciting.

While it is a blindfold, this is not meant for sleeping in and may be too uncomfortable for sleeping purposes.

If your blindfold should become dirty, you can hand-wash it in tepid water. You should not expose the satin to extreme heat such as boiling water, bleaching, or soaking it for long periods as this ruins the material. Rinse the blindfold out and allow the material to air-dry on its own. If necessary (such as the blindfold becoming exposed to bodily fluid) you can hand-wash it with a gentle fabric wash. Wring the blindfold out by hand getting as much water out of the fabric as you can and hang up to dry out of direct sunlight.

Satin rips easier when wet, so always be careful when washing the blindfold. When dry, fold like you would a satin tie, or hang it on a rack or something else as you would with a tie. If want to remove wrinkles, place a thin towel over the satin blindfold and iron on the cool setting until the wrinkles release. Satin is burned easily, so always handle ironing with care and do not leave the iron on the fabric for too long.

Shipping was completely discreet. The package arrived in the form of an unmarked, cardboard box and had no indications that the package was from an adult website. It did not have any stickers or content listings, but it did have the shipping addresses on the outside of the box. The address was also discreet, and one would only figure out where the package came from if they googled it.

The box was packed with air pillows to keep the blindfold from getting tossed around during shipment. The blindfold itself was packaged inside of a clear plastic bag and did not have tags, but merely an inventory sticker on the outside. There was nothing fancy about the packaging, so you'll want a nice gift bag or box to put the blindfold in when gifting to someone. You can recycle all of the contents if you'd like, and there isn't anything to keep for storage purposes.
