Tweezer clamps - nipple clamps discontinued by Spartacus - review by Kitka

First Impression:

My first impression of the Tweezer Nipple Clamps was one of apprehension. I wasn't entirely sure I was going to like them based on my previous failed nipple clamp attempts and the fact that I'm at a beginner's level for nipple play.

Material:

The Tweezer Nipple Clamps are made from metal with little rubber tips by a company named Spartacus. Metal has a safety rating of 9, 10 being the safest material rating on the scale. Metal is phthalate free and non-porous so there's no worry about harboring bacteria and it's easy to clean. The nipple clamps also don't really have an odor beyond a slightly metallic smell, but that's not unusual of metal items.

Color & Texture:

There wasn't a color option with this particular pair of nipple clamps, so I received the plain metal ones with black rubber tips. The metal and rubber are both pretty smooth to the touch and shiny. The rubber tips I'd say are the only part of the clamps that are a bit grabby on skin, but that's kind of the point of them.

Controls & Shape:

The clamps are a U-shaped piece of metal that is slightly crimped at the ends and has a ring there that attaches to a link chain which in turn attaches to the other clamp by another ring on the end. On the base of the clamps there is a small metal ring that can be moved up and down the length of the clamps to adjust how tight they grab. On the tips of the tweezer clamps are small rubber covers to lessen the severity of the metal ends and these tend to be loose, but nothing a drop of Gorilla Glue won't cure.

After getting the clamp's rubber ends around the nipple you have the option of moving the sliding ring. The farther up the clamp you go, the tighter and more painful it gets. I'm at a beginner's level and I had these on with the ring a little less than halfway up the clamp without it hurting too bad.

Measurements are as follows:
Link Chain: 12" long
Tweezers: Just shy of 3" long
Rubber Tips: 1/2" long

Noise & Power:

These nipple clamps are virtually sound-free with the exception of the chain if it happens to hit something hard or run across something. Some of that can be cured by running it through the o-ring of a collar before attaching the clamps to the nipples. This aids in keeping the chain out of the way and it will be less likely to catch on things than if it were dangling. The only power these clamps use are that of your fingers for adjusting and tightening them.

Cleaning, Storage & Packaging:

These nipple clamps aren't exactly for submerging in water as the metal may happen to rust if you do so. So boiling it or putting it in the dishwasher is not a good idea. It's advised to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if you feel it necessary or a 10% bleach solution may be used on these clamps. You can even use a toy wipe on the rubber ends, just be sure to dry the clamps completely before storing.

The clamps don't come with any kind of storage pouch but they can easily be stored just about anywhere since they're okay touching other toys. Personally I keep these zipped up in a pvc pocket I have just for clamps, but you can toss these in a drawer or other kind of container of your choosing.

The package that these clamps came in is one of those plastic snap-the-corners-closed kind. The only thing included in the package with the tweezer clamps is the folded cardboard with "Spartacus Tweezer Nipple Clamps" and "adjustable with link chain" on the front. There was no warranty included in the packaging. I would say this package isn't very discreet with the cardboard in it, but if you just take that out you could get away with using it as a storage container.

Use:

The nipple clamps can be easily shared but should be cleaned in between uses to remove any flakes of skin that may remain after use. Both men and women can enjoy these tweezer clamps on their nipples or other areas of the body, like the clitoris, if they're feeling adventurous. These nipple clamps are so easy to use and adjustable so they're great for everyone, including beginners like myself. These can be worn during sex but mind that you don't rip them off your partner, that could cause damage to their nipples. These clamps are also great for foreplay or teasing, just have your partner put them on you or vice versa and start having fun.

After getting these clamps out of the plastic box, I was unsure what I was in for, but I went for it. It took some maneuvering and pinching of my nipples to get them to cooperate but I finally got them on.

I had the adjuster ring at a little less than half way up the tweezer, so not too hard a pinch but more than just barely holding on. I had them on for about an hour the first time and was very surprised at how good they felt and how comfortable they were while wearing them. Every now and then I would check them and move the adjuster ring a little bit farther up, but never really got much past half way.

When I was ready to take them off I just slid the adjuster ring all the way down the tweezer and GENTLY separated my nipple from the rubber tip. After a while those rubber tips really grab your skin, so be very careful when removing these clamps.

These nipple clamps are by far the best I've ever owned. They haven't sustained any damage and are holding up really well with constant use.
