This collar would be great for both an experienced kinkster and a curious beginner. Unlike many collars, which seem to be designed in size and look for a woman, this collar would look great on a male neck as well. This is vegan, affordable at 12 dollars, and has an attached D ring you can attach a leash too. This collar is a fantastic accesory for a night in the bedroom, out at a club, or at a fetish event but I personally did not find it discreet to wear to school or work because of the D ring. I would not recommend this collar to any individual or couple looking for collar to wear 24/7 as I found the collar uncomfortable and hot in extended use.

The Rouge collar is 19 inches long and 1.5 inches wide with 3 metal snap closures. It is composed of two layers of material: a red faux leather and a light layer of black felt like material that are stitched together. The stitching has frayed a bit near the back of the collar however it has remained strong and not come undone.

The snaps on the collar are well made; they'll open quickly when you need them to and they've never come open on their own. This collar has an approximate neck circumference of 14.5"-16.5."

A piece of nylon attaches a D ring to this collar which is my favorite feature of the collar. The nylon that attaches the D ring is firmly sewn into the body of the collar itself and has held up to rough collar and leash use with no signs of strain. Despite the cheap price tag, this is very durable toy.

I was intending to wear this collar everyday, but I personally found it wasn't comfortable enough to be worn all the time. It's fairly wide and warm compared to what I'm used to and it just didn't work for me as an everyday collar.

The best thing about this collar is that the D Ring on this collar is sturdy enough to withstand rough play, since I don't spend very much of my time on a leash, it's great as a play collar and as strong as others I have seen that are far more expensive.

Faux Leather can be cleaned in warm water; with a mild, fragrenece-free soap, and a soft brush or cloth. I cannot find any information on what material the inner layer of fabric in the collar consists of, so I have been reluctuant to do more than simple spot cleanining. The material feels like felt, which from past crafting endevours I know is very complicated to wash and involves cold water and air drying so I've avoided needing to wash the collar thus far.

This collar could be stored flat in a drawer, but if you want to keep bends and creases out of the collar you should be careful that it is secure and there is not too much weight on top of it. My toy drawers are disorganized and often ransacked so I avoided having to be careful about storing it by putting it around the neck of a teddy bear.

This collar comes attached to a cardboard sleeve, mine came with the collar and cardboard bent creating an extra bend in the collar. The cardboard isn't something worth keeping around as there is no way you can store the collar in it.

In wearing the collar for a few hours in play I found it much more comfortable. None of the things that bothered me in my extended use attempt bothered me- when I was wearing nothing but the collar, or little else, it didn't feel too hot around my neck. As someone who routinely breaks toys in rough play, I was impressed that the Rouge Collar didn't shown any signs of breakage after I had roughly used it with a leash.

The first time I wore this collar I found myself disapointed because it doesn't fit my personal preferences for a collar to wear everyday. I tried 3 times to wear this collar for a full day and they all ended with me angry and frustrated. The second I started treating the Rouge Collar like a play collar, and using it with a leash, my feelings quickly turned around. The extra layers that I dismissed as being too warm made it comfortable for me to be pulled around with it on a leash and I wasn't too hot.

I am accumstomed to wearing collars that fit me very snuggly around my neck and I also wear a collar more or less 24 hours a day, every day. I could not achieve a tight fit with this collar because my neck size is in between 2 of the snap closures. As someone who enjoys the general sensation of choking I was irritated that my Partner forced me to wear it on the looser snap, but it can be dangerous to wear a collar that is too tight for any amount of time. There are many different things I've heard about how to tell if a collar is too tight, but my personal test is seeing if the areas around the collar hurt when I cough.
