This collar is great for anyone with an interest or mild curiosity in wearing a collar. Experienced and non-experienced individuals will have no trouble using this product. Additionally this collar is unisex. Though typically it is the bottom or submissive partner who wears the collar in kink settings, it could be worn by tops if they so choose. It makes a great addition to just about any outfit and can be worn to most any occasion that the wearer would be comfortable wearing it to.

It has three snap closures to accommodate most average and plus size wearers. Individuals with slender frames will likely have difficulty making this collar fit well. The fabric on the inside of the collar makes it very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the pliable faux-leather material lets it take the general shape of the wearer's neck to remain comfortable as the person moves about. Additionally the snap closures make for quick and easy emergency release. Heavy tugging on the collar from the front does not make the collar unsnap, so this method should not be used to release oneself from the collar as doing so may cause injury. The faux-leather material of the collar makes for easy wipe-off cleanup should it get dirty and makes for sturdy construction. Additionally the stitching is simple yet attractive and evenly spaced with no loose or snagged threads. This item has obviously been sewn together using a sewing machine.

Faux-Leather is a water resistant durable material with a high tensile strength and high resistance to tear. It is 19" in total length and decreases approximately 2 inches to its smallest closure. The width is 1 1/4 inches. It has a very mild leather smell to it, but you have to put it right under your nose to notice this aroma.

I do not generally enjoy wearing collars, but this one was surprisingly pleasant to wear. I was pleased that it did not come unsnapped when tugged on lightly, but when I decided I wanted out of it immediately there was no waiting and fumbling with a more complicated closure. I was also able to lie down and drift off to sleep with the collar on and was not uncomfortable. I have used other collars before that were not anywhere near as flattering on my neck as this one was. I also found this one to be far more comfortable than the other collars I have worn. This collar would work well for pet play, to lead your partner around the room, or to remind them of their role during the scene (such as being a pet, or being submissive, or being enslaved). Oddly enough, I also found that this collar works as a last minute collar for a large breed dog who needs to go outside.

You can wash Faux-Leather with warm water using mild, detergent-free soap (like Dawn) and a microfiber soft cloth or an ordinary long-handled, soft bristle brush.

There is a natural bend in the collar by the manufacturer that the collar naturally falls along when not being worn. I recommend sticking with this natural bend for storage as creating new bends may speed up the wear and tear on the material. It can be stored flat or not, snapped closed or not. If storing not flat, be careful not to add excessive weight from other items on top of it so as not to risk crushing the collar.

The packaging is very minimal. The material is a cardstock type paper that has been created from previously recycled paper. The collar is snapped closed around the cardstock. To remove, unsnap the collar and slide off the cardstock. The cardstock can then be recycled.

I am giving this collar a rating of 4 stars. I don't feel that it earned 5 stars because I do not think that it will fit a person with a slender neck, and if a product is to be universal then I feel that it should be truly universal. It's also hard to pinpoint exactly what the material on the skin side of the collar is. There is no indication from the manufacturer as to what this material is other than the fact that it is a vegan material. Felt is the closet material that I could assess it to be.
