This is a leather paddle by Topco that has three raised hearts along the middle of the paddle and studs that run along the handle.

Keep in mind that this paddle is quite large. Once I received it in the mail, I was surprised about how large it really is. I didn't take the dimensions into account and judged it merely by the picture. The width is 3" and the length is 12 1/2".

This toy has soft feminine overtones because it's pink with hearts. It's cutesy in appearance but it's a vixen when deployed. This paddle will sting and it can leave marks. I would recommend this to a variety of users because it's versatile. You can control it to make it be shy and sweet like it looks or make it really hurt.

If you are really new to BDSM, please be careful with this paddle. It can cause a LOT of pain if used just right.

I did not buy this paddle just because it's pink with hearts and studs. I liked the price too. I was wondering what the craftsmanship would be like for such an inexpensive leather paddle. Overall, it seems to be made really well with a lot of care and thought. The only problematic area that I see is where the leather runs along the sides of the paddle. It's thinner and somewhat transparent in a few spots. In my opinion, that's where you may start to see some wear and tear.

Also, a few studs on one side of my paddle are slightly uneven. That's really not a big deal to me but it is something that I noticed. The studs do not play as much of a role in the actual use of the paddle like the picture indicates. The studs are mostly along the handle and are not felt during use for the person that's getting paddled. The raised hearts are the part that hits the person first. This paddle bends and springs right back, so the studs are not felt. It seems like they would be from the picture but you would have to use the paddle on the lower end instead of the upper part for the studs to be felt.

This toy is also larger and thicker than the picture leads on. The thickness of the paddle isn't described in the toy properties, it's obviously under an inch thick. The only ruler that I had handy to measure with was a faded one from my daughter's stencil stash with pictures of goofy and other members of the mickey mouse club. So I went to the Topco web site and it states the depth is 0.05"

As we've used this paddle, it has become clear that it could leave marks if used to that degree. I'm not entirely convinced that it would leave heart-shaped marks though because I don't think the hearts are raised and indented enough to make that much of a significant detail.

This toy definitely surprised me. It was larger and more forceful than I imagined. In fact, I doubt that I will ever forget my husband's face when he first pulled it out of the box to take a look at it. I told him I had ordered a paddle, but I don't think he pictured it being that big and thick :)

I like that I can control this paddle to either make it sting slightly or hurt a bit more. I am able to control the level of pain inflicted. It performs easily for a light playful slap and also performs well for harder, more forceful play.

Since this toy is leather, you may want to use a leather conditioner. I haven't had to do much in the way of care for this product yet. We haven't gotten anything on it. Since we don't have a toy chest, we've been using a box, which is where we store it. It has a loop so that you can hang it if desired.

The toy is packaged in a standard plastic package that opens to reveal the paddle. There are no instructions. There is a piece of printed paper that the paddle lays against that says naughty grrl toyz. You could technically store the paddle back in the plastic container, since it's made to open and close easily.

I rated this toy five stars because it is an effective paddle with some promise of durability at an inexpensive price. I'm not too concerned about this product degrading, unless it's on the sides of the paddle. Time will tell!

I have small hands and this paddle was larger than expected. It took some getting used to but it still seems a bit large for my hands. I'm certainly not going to replace this paddle, but I wanted to share this information. Someone with larger hands may feel more comfortable wielding this paddle. But if you have small hands like me, it just takes some time to get used to so that you know how to use it to inflict the level of pain that you want.

Our experience proves that this paddle can be used for light users, but that it shouldn't be judged by its appearance. It should be just as effective for more experienced users.
