Divinity collar by Spartacus - review by Mistress M.

The Divinity Collar by Spartacus is a beautiful collar for bondage. It is made of white leather and has decorative blue gems lining the front and sides. The texture of the inside of the collar is a faux fur like material that makes the collar very comfortable to wear. The ring in the center of the front is large enough for almost any leash or tether to be connected to it.

The Divinity Collar is made of white leather. It is real white leather not a tanned leather that has been painted white. This fact makes this collar just that much more impressive because it is quite obvious this collar is not a “cheap” collar like some of the Neoprene collars. If you are tired of the old hum-drum black bondage gear, this collar is definitely for you. The inside is a beautiful, light baby blue faux fur type material. Anyone, whether they are new to bondage or veterans of the bondage world, can enjoy this collar to the fullest extent.

The back of the collar has snap hooks which some may find it easier to put on than the traditional buckle on collars. The collar is 17.5 inches long and approximately 1 inch wide. Because of the faux fur on the inside, it gives a very pleasant sensation when putting it on. The leather is of great quality cowhide. The gems are held in place by metal holders instead of being glued on which will help preserve the look of this collar for quite some time. The collar is only a tenth of a pound which is very light. The center of the collar sports a d-ring hook style. The white collar is accented well by the dark blue stitching that circles the length of the collar on both ends.

This collar performs fantastically. The soft faux fur on the inside of the collar makes the collar very easy to wear for prolonged periods of time. The sensation of the fur gliding across your skin is nearly enough itself to begin arousing you. The snaps make putting this collar on and taking it off very easy. Overall, it is a beautiful, well crafted piece of bondage gear.

There is very little in way of “cons” with this collar. The main one that comes to mind is maintenance for the white leather. White leather can be stained easy just as a white t-shirt can. When wearing this collar, keep in mind what you allow used around it to preserve its beauty. Because it is a snap on collar, there is little ability to make the collar more adjustable. With collars that have the buckle and holes, often times, you can simply poke another hole into the leather to make it tighter or more loose. Unfortunately, with the Divinity Collar you cannot do this.

For leather, I would almost always recommend saddle soap. With this toy, I cannot recommend saddle soap as I normally would. Using saddle soap on it for cleaning purposes runs a large chance of staining the sensitive coloring, so the best way to clean the Divinity Collar would be a damp wash cloth and warm water. If the inside needs cleaned, a damp wash cloth can be used as well. The best chance of keeping and maintaining this collar for the lifespan of the collar would be to simply not get it dirty.

The packaging for the collar was rather boring. It came in a clear plastic package with an insert that is overall blue and white with a woman wearing the collar in the middle. I personally would not store your Divinity Collar for long periods of time in the plastic case.

I tried this collar on, and I loved it. However, it isn't quite long enough for me to enjoy wearing for long periods of time. I like my collars to be slightly loose, and even on the last snap of the collar, it was still too tight for me to be comfortable. I go by the basic rule of being able to stick three fingers down between the collar and my neck because I have a phobia of being choked. I really wish this collar was more adjustable.

However, I did give this collar to a friend of mine who really wanted one. She currently wears it almost every day. As a quote from her:

I called my friend who I gave this collar to, and she still loves it. I see her wearing it on more than any of the other collars she owns. It is very comforting to know that she still enjoys this collar. I took note of it and it appears to not have any wear and tear yet. It still looks as beautiful as it did the day it arrived in the mail!
