As a BDSM practitioner, my husband and I have used many things over the years as sex toys, floggers, whips, etc. We have a rather larger collection of whips and floggers made from various materials and each usually has its own place on the body that it is best used on. When we purchased this little rubber whip/flogger we had a specific plan for it as well. It is just the right size, tails not too long to lose control when applying it, and just the right weight to make a really good stingy clit beater. Yes, it makes a delish little clit beater for those into that sort of thing.

We purchased a black one to match the many other black Sportsheets products we own. The rubber material had the slightest bit of "rubber" smell to it when we first got it, and that is to be expected. But that dissipated within a few days and now has no smell at all. For people who don't want animal products in their sex toys, such as leather, this is a very good choice. The size is not large enough to cover the broadest parts of the body in one swipe and also does not have enough weight, thickness of tails or "heft" to be much more than slightly stingy. Therefore it is not suitable for an "all over the body" pain session. But it is very good for concentrating on specific smaller areas of the body that you want to give more attention to without causing excess pain or causing bruising and much swelling. Therefore as stated before, it was great for the clitoral and labia areas. It is also quite good for the breasts and even makes a good warm-up beater for the upper back area.

Since the tails, also known as "falls", are made of rubber cut into very thin strips of approximately 1/16 inch each, they are almost like a bunch of rubber bands that have been cut and then bound together at one end. The sound they make as they cut through the air is so different from the sound of leather. Although this does not actually hurt, and is just stingy at best, the thought and/or sight of the thin rubber tails, reminiscent of being popped with rubber bands, along with the higher pitched sound it makes, tends to get your attention rather quick.

After using this for a number of weeks, we found that this can be used over and over on one area without causing any damage to the body and still result in pleasant sensations. Again, this is not for serious pain play, but does make a fairly good warm up toy or concentrated area toy.

Clean up is easy as this is rubber and I found I can swish it around in a sink of warm soapy water and rinse with clean water to remove any body fluids or lube that it comes into contact with. Hang to dry is best. Occasionally the tails will try to "knot up" and you may have to untangle them, but usually all I have to do is carefully shake the handle with the tails in the downward position to loosen them from each other.

Overall, we are happy with this purchase as we knew it was going to be used for a specific body part and not as an all over body whip. The price for this is more than reasonable considering what you are getting.

In the months since we got this we have enjoyed it just as much as when we first got it. The quality of the material is good and has not torn or broken even though it gets used often.
