Okay, to start it off, I'd like to say I've had shitty experiences with any sort of 'pleasure' condom before. 'Ribbed'- whatever; 'Ecstasy'- sure man, whatever you say; 'Ultra-thin'- ultra-breakable. I've seen let down, breaks and lube that didn't last nearly as long as it should... THEN I was surprised!

Ever had one of those moments when you're standing in the isle of condom goodies, next to the pregnancy tests and hair products and just wanted to get out of there soon but couldn't decide on anything? I was heading out of town with my boyfriend for a weekender at a convention when we realized that we'd brought all of ONE condom between us, and after discussing what we would be up to (and that it was his birthday weekend), we found a grocery store that was still open and started perusing quickly.

I'd heard some things about 'Fire and Ice' before and didn't think much of it, but all the ten-packs were about the same price, so I grabbed and left with him. Later the next night, we went stumbling back to the hotel room and we decided to try out the new condom. He puts it on and we're going at it and at first I don't feel a thing, then an almost uncomfortable tingling comes in, almost chemical in nature (well, obviously it IS a chemical reaction here, but whatever).

He starts to get into his rhythm and then it really hits me and him at around the same moment- so warm it is numb in that pleasant, is-my-vagina-drunk sort of way and we both end up orgasming WAY earlier than expected. I am a very physically sensitive person, so I suppose I could be over reacting but THAT WAS THE GREATEST CONDOM EXPERIENCE BY FAR. I was throughly surprised in every way and very pleased with the effect that it gave. It's a simple enhancer, but I've never seen anything like it before. My boyfriend as just as shell-shocked-- he laid down beside me exhausted and didn't move for a solid ten minutes.

The quality of the condom is superb from what I have seen so far. It's average thickness (so don't expect to feel everything your partner has) and average size, between four and a half and up to seven inches (so sorry for the bigger gentlemen out there- Trojan has yet to make a Magnum size of this yet). After many different experiences since birthday weekend, we've yet to experience a breakage or slip-age. The lube is just in right amounts with a good, sturdy condom.

However, there's one thing I'd ask for- SOMETHING to cover up the smell.

The only problem foreseeable IS the smell- it has a distinct burnt-plastic odor afterwards that, mixed with the smell of sweat, was rather unpleasant though not unbearable. Consider lighting some candles when using these condoms if you live in smaller or less-personal situations like an apartment or a dorm- it's a smell not as subtle as latex (if one can call THAT subtle), and can be a little bit more blatant. However, it DOES cover up the normal smell of latex, so you could blame it on some sort of chemicals burning somewhere else.

Sex overall was amped-up BY the condom and that is a unique and enlightening experience for me, and time after time, is very enjoyable and worth it's sour points. Just keep some perfume (or Febreeze- it is rather potent and... special) on hand and everything will work out fine.

As I've said above, enjoyable experience. My experiences with this explicitly is heterosexual and I haven't pursued every venue with this particular condom (haven't tried anal) and for that matter, we haven't made it too far with the condom because the experience was so enjoyable, there was no containing ourselves so I can not attest to the 'Ice' abilities.

What I understand to be the icing effect is simply removal of the condom and the general difference in the perceived temperature between the condom and actual room temperature. That itself is very pleasant, almost like a little summer breeze- so while the box isn't entirely truthful (in depicting WILD AND CRAZY EXTREMES OF UTTER MANLINESS), I'd say it's a great and non-threatening repose from such a wild fire.
