Published:
Pros
Variety, one prevent premature ejaculation, one tastes great, and one feels great!
Cons
Lacks taper, one smells bad, not for larger guys.
This pleasure pack offered by Durex has three different varieties in it. It contains one of each:
Performax: with climax controlled lubricant
Intense Sensation: studded texture for extreme pleasure
Tropical: assorted colors and luscious flavors
I'll review them one by one, in order:
1. Durex Performax:
This condom allows desensitization for the wearer but not for the other partner. It can help the wearer last longer during intercourse. In my experience it added about a half hour. The ingredient that makes this possible is the 7.5% Benzocaine. It is only on the INSIDE of the condom and only released with body heat.
This condom has a thickness of .0027" which is average. This allows for the partner to still feel what is under the condom. Average condoms are 7.5" long, this one is a bit longer at 7.8". The reservoir tip is small, so I recommend not using it on a penis longer than 7.25". Average shaft and base width for condoms is 2". This condom is also average. It has a smaller head than most though. It doesn't accommodate the girthy guys. It also doesn't work best for guys with larger heads because it lacks taper.
The lubrication on the outside is water based. The lubrication on the inside of the condom needs to be washed off after sex because it will taste horrible and cause numbing to a mouth if oral is desired later. It also smells pretty bad. This condom is good for it's purpose, but not good for adding sensation.
2. Durex Intense Sensation
This was my favorite condom type for quite a few years! I really like the Durex brand of condoms, and this is by far their most amazing feeling condom from a woman's perspective.
The Intense Sensation condom features hundreds of raised bumps/dots all over the condom's slick surface. With head, surface, and base width all at 2" they aren't good for the larger than average guy. The thickness is .0024" which is pretty average and doesn't give extra sensation to a male. They also don't have a contour. I've found that the reservoir tip isn't large enough for the guy that finishes with more than two teaspoons of semen. They also have a strong latex smell which is unappealing. The lube that coats this condom is water based. There is enough that extra is not usually needed.
Durex Tropical:
When Durex first came out with these condoms they were manufactured under the name Colors & Scents. They first appeared in the Pleasure Pack.
These condoms are great for their purpose. One reason these condoms are used for oral is to obviously block the transmission of STDs or because you don't like the taste of your partner. But, I use them during sex and then after taking the condom off to give follow up oral, it makes either person smell and taste like fruit! To be clear...you can use them for oral...or use them after sex for oral. Either way it makes the penis and vagina taste and smell great.
If you love oral and like to switch things up or perhaps sometimes aren't able to finish with intercourse and then like to follow up with oral...this is perfect for you. There is no lingering taste or smell of latex to turn you off.
Average condoms have a thickness of 0.0027". This condom has a thickness of 0.00247" which makes it a little thinner than most. The average condom is 7.5" long. This condom is also 7.5". Because of the reservoir tip being small, this is why I recommend not using it on a penis longer than 7". There needs to be wiggle and ejaculation room. Average shaft and base width for condoms is 2". This condom is smaller at 1.75". This doesn't accommodate the guys on the thicker side. It works better for those with less girth. Average condom head width is 2.125". This condom has a head width of 1.75". This makes it harder for guys with generous heads. This condom lacks taper and lessens natural feel.
The lubrication is water based. I found that usually more did not need to be added. It is great that the lubricant covers the latex smell! You can't beat that :).

Experience
This is a great pack to try out some different types of condoms. Also you can buy this trip in a 12 pack buy Durex. It is a much better value.
Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
I have noticed that a 24 pack of this trio is cheaper or only slightly more than 12 packs of single types of Durex condoms. I am unsure if this means that this package is being phased out or if the pricing is a promotion to get more people to try this. If you haven't, now is a great time to. I wish they made a larger XXL pack, but at this time they don't.

Thank you for viewing Durex pleasure pack – male condom discontinued review page!
Yea a lot of people don't like the Performax. I think they just have sensitive skin.
That is strange it nnumbed you though...are you sure the condom was on correctly and not inside out? The performax lube is only on the INSIDE.
