Commando - double strap by ASLAN Leather - review by Little Miss Angry

My last harness was a cheaper nylon model, and I decided to upgrade to leather. The main problem I have is that I am a 5'0" androgynous woman and have a 28 inch waist and 31 inch hips with no ass to speak of. Since most leather harnesses aren't as adjustable as nylon, I did some research to make sure the harness would fit my frame. On Aslan's website, it says this harness fits 26" waists, which got me interested as most leather harnesses don't run that small. I was especially interested in the fact that the thigh straps are convertible from two-strap to g-string style and that overall the product had minimal straps to get in the way.

The harness is made of well-crafted suede-backed black leather strips. There are two silver buckles on either side of the waist to provide an adjustable fit, and two straps that go across the thighs. One of the straps can be removed to switch it from a double-strap to g-string style harness. The thigh straps are held in place with the "double d-ring" style arrangement, where you slide the strap through both rings and then loop it back over one and under the other to hold it in place. The thigh straps can loosen during play, but due to the fact that they are suede-backed can be very hard to adjust as just pulling them tighter doesn't work. They have to be loosened and then tightened which can be very annoying and hard to do while the harness is being worn. The harness comes with one O-ring, and has silver snaps to adjust the position and change out different sized rings. I found the ring it comes with quite large. I would recommend buying a ring set unless you use 2" dildos as the ring it came with was quite loose on all my toys.

Upon trying the harness on, I found that it was much too big. There was no way this harness could fit a 26" waist. It seemed more like 30". Even with taking a leather punch and poking extra holes for the buckles and tightening the thigh straps as much as possible I could get it tight, but it still felt unwieldy and slightly too big. The thigh straps were slightly too wide for me and didn't want to stay tight during use, but due to their construction they were very hard to adjust when the harness was being worn. One nice thing was that due to the thigh straps covering my vagina completely instead of leaving it exposed, they did provide plenty of stimulation. I just wish I could have gotten them to stay tight. I am planning on trying it g-string style to see if that helps give me more control. Overall, I prefer the nylon harness just for its fit. This harness was slightly loose on me around the genitals and thighs no matter how much I tightened it, and it didn't really feel a part of me.

It is a shame, because the harness is very well made high quality leather. I had been looking forward to owning a toy like this for a long time. This harness should not be submerged in water, so if you are looking to play in the pool or shower, I would recommend getting a vinyl or nylon harness. It can be easily cleaned by wiping with gentle soap and water, although not completely sterilized, so should only be used with a partner who's history you know.

Being a very small person, I have had trouble finding harnesses that fit me properly, especially the higher quality ones. I really don't want to spend a lot of money on an item only to find that it is too big. Overall, I felt that if the harness had been slightly smaller I would have gotten much more control out of it. This harness fit my partner just fine though, although he did have an issue with the snaps that attach the thigh strap to the o-ring pinching his scrotum when he put his penis through the ring. He was able to wear and use the harness with a dildo quite well and it is possible this harness could be used for double penetration.

After a few months of owning this harness, my partner has ended up using it on me either by putting his penis and scrotum through the o-ring or using it with a dildo more than I end up using it on him. With use and cleaning, the leather has stretched and what was already a barely-fitting harness has gotten even looser. If I do use this harness, I only use it with my Realdoe and I always put on a pair of boy's briefs over it and the dildo, so that the dildo comes out through the fly. This is the only way that it makes it even slightly functional. It doesn't work with any other dildo, as the looseness causes the dildo to droop down, making penetration impossible. I am a bit annoyed that it was advertised at being able to fit 26" waists, as this is clearly not the case.
