A Jolly Good Time!

Any gal who enjoys the pleasure of strap-on sex with her partner knows that investing in a solid, reliable harness that will last for years is worth the investment; however, finding the right one in a sea full of choices can be a challenge. The inquiring mind of a discriminate user wants to know the answers to important questions such as "Is it adjustable?" or "Can I use different sized toys?". If and when you are ready to graduate to a better quality harness, the "JOLLY LUXE" from Eden is one worth considering. It only comes in dyed red leather, but it's a universal color that is still sexy without being too girly.

This harness is made of soft and pliable leather of unknown origin. It's not buttery soft, but it comes pretty close since it is fairly pliable and wears nicely against the skin. A layer of suede is sewn to the inner side, which not only reinforces the harness, but also renders it much more comfortable to wear. The other components are metal: grommets, fasteners, buckles, 0-rings. No rough or sharp edges were noticed.

The Luxe lives up to its name in the design and quality. The craftsmanship is detailed, with no visible defects or flaws. Putting on the Luxe is as easy as putting on a pair of underwear and making a few necessary adjustments with the buckles on the hip and leg straps. There are 11 holes on each hip strap and 12 on each thigh strap, offering plenty of room to work with most average bodies. The two O-rings come attached to dildo holder, which is a 3-strap snap fastener with two snaps on each strap to allow room for adjustments. This harness is crotchless, so access to the genital area of the wearer is accessible.

The "one-size fits most" works for those whose hips fall within 29 to 44-inch range; that's up to roughly a 16 in US women's sizing (model in pics has 39 inch hips). It sits low on the hips, like a pair of hipster panties. Keep in mind that because it's leather, with time the straps will probably stretch some and hole adjustments may need to be made. It could be worn under looser fitting clothing, however it's certainly a bit bulkier than one's underwear (or lack thereof).

When properly fastened, this harness will stay put and not move around during use, nor will it come undone like some of the less expensive beginner models that might hold up for a few sessions, if you are lucky!

The following pictures are some examples of dildo sizes that can fit in this harness. There has to be enough room between the O-ring and the dildo for the leather fastening tabs to slip between the the two. Also, the base of the dildo plays a large part in fit. A thinner, more disc-like base works better than a bulkier raised one. Three diameter sizes were tested for the purpose of this review: 1", 1-1/4", and 1-1/2". For the largest diameter, it was easier to attach the O-ring when the dildo was inserted through the opening in the harness as opposed to sitting on top of it (see pics).

Fluids can be wiped off the surface of the harness with a damp cloth, then left to air dry. Do not submerse in water or put in the washer.

I wasn't too sure about this harness when I first opened the box, but after trying it on, I changed my mind. It's very nice! I've tested at least 7 different different kinds, ranging from budget to pricier models, and the pricier models always perform well, fit better, and usually look great too!
