Minx - sex toy by ASLAN Leather - review by HannahPanda

I'm pretty positive we don't need to heavily delve into uses for this glorious harness, but just an overview: f*ck the daylights out of your partner with it, or comfortably pack under clothing on your own. You could even wear it just to look pretty because you love the soft leather, or hang it on your wall as a decorative piece. Let it swivel with your ceiling fan for an hour or so, or wear it on your head. No matter how you decide to use it,

Just buy it.

Because it's awesome.

As it goes with just about all of Aslan's pieces, this leather is soft, buttery, even velvety. This harness, being authentic leather, isn't vegan. If you'd rather a harness not made from leather, you can check out the Vegan Jaguar.



You can tell just from feeling the material that it will be comfortable during wear and usage. It's true leather, therefore it can't be waterproof, so avoid water at all costs. Leather tends to crack and break with wear and tear, and over time it can get damaged if you're using it often. Water will do much worse. To prevent signs of damage from use and age, just coat the material every so often with a leather moisturizer or lotion. You can buy them from many leather manufacturers, though Aslan doesn't sell them on their site.

The smell of the leather isn't strong, but you can definitely tell it's high quality coming out of the packaging. It smells clean, like typical leather and some tend to like the smell a lot.

As for the D rings that you'll find on the harness; they're metal and can tarnish if you aren't careful. Some put a coat of clear nail polish over the metal to savor it from tarnishing, however nail polish tends to chip off of things and I'm not fond of the idea.

One word comes to mind: Adjustable. This harness, I find is a LOT more chubby friendly than the Cherry jaguar, which I also own. I found that I had to really manipulate that harness and have it buckled already just to be able to get it on. The Minx, however, fits around my waist perfectly and hasn't given me a bit of trouble in adjusting and fitting properly. I adore this design and feel it looks quite unisex. I'm a fan of buckles and straps so I went right for this when I saw it.

There are two straps which lace across your thighs in the back and are adjustable to pull the harness tighter against your frame. The double straps loop up around the main band that is on your waist and offer full support for your harness from behind. In the meantime, it also makes flatter hineys look more bubble-esque, and I'm a great admirer of my partners backside while wearing this harness and other double straps like it.

Something interesting about this harness is that there is a leather piece directly between the leg holes that can be useful for clitoral stimulation, however I was slightly confused about it's purpose when I received the product.

The hind straps are made with D-rings, while the buckles located elsewhere on the harness are O-rings. The D rings can be a tad bit tricky at first, until you get used to adjusting them. There are a mixture of different kinds of rings on this piece, but they all serve their purpose well. There are two D-Rings above the lace up back to the harness. The laces are just normal, black shoe string-esque laces.



The harness comes equipped with a standard sized rubber O-ring. I wish it came with different sizes the way some of my cheaper harnesses did, but I've had some harnesses that come with none at all, so I can't complain. The O-ring should fit most dildos, but thankfully I had more in supply for some of my bigger and smaller models I wanted to use.

Around the O-ring are 3 snaps that hold it into place. Simply unsnap them to remove the O-ring and snap them back to insert a toy, and you're ready to play.

Only one thing to note that I wasn't particularly happy about: Aslan, why the unnecessary 3 tags on my product? There are two scratchy tags located on the harness, one in the front, one in the back, and an Aslan leather tag located on the bottom rectangular leather piece that runs in between the legs. This isn't included that tag that comes attached through the O-ring. Unnecessary much?

The size is perfect and fits up to a 60'' hip span. That's a good amount of hip, so if you're underweight, overweight, or anything in between, this harness will most likely fit you comfortably. It's definitely a good fit for any user, male or female and fit me like a glove. Since it is so adjustable, it's an amazingly friendly harness for users of all body types. I've had harnesses in the past that aren't as friendly to my own size, and I weigh in at 165lbs roughly. This harnesses price is unbeatable for the amount of versatility that goes into the adjustments you can tamper with to make this harness the perfect fit.



It's comfortable enough to wear under clothing for packing, or for long periods of time. I haven't had any issue with chafing or uncomfortable rubbing during wear.

My, my, my, this thing not only looks great, but holds up well in bed. I think this harness can last longer than I do! It's extremely comfortable to wear in all positions, especially the material. Some material can cause uncomfortable chafing, especially if the harness wearer is laying on bottom and being ridden. That's not so fun, so I really appreciate the craftsmanship and care that went into making this product.

There are lots of straps, buckles, and attachments to hold onto if you're either giving or receiving, which is a plus for those who like something to clinch onto. I wouldn't suggest pulling on restraints or fasteners too tightly, as it might put a little more wear on the harness than intended, but then again, with it being so durable, I'm sure it can handle quite a lot. The product holds onto toys extremely well and I find it incredibly easy to adjust to my body size.

Leather can be a little bit of a princess to take care of. Once you know the ground rules, it's pretty simple.

- No water
- No heavy sunlight
- No rough play/heavy pulling
- Polish once in a while

Water damages leather, period. The most you do is blot it with a wet nap if something is spilled onto it. Even then, don't dry it in direct sunlight or you'll get a cracked harness. Though it's overall durable and sturdy, I wouldn't suggest just flinging it around, balling it up, or playing rough with it. You paid $150 for this, you probably wouldn't be doing it anyway. If you do run into a mishap, just use some leather moisturizer on the product once in a while and it should do just fine for years.

As far as storage goes, that matter is all up to you. There are definitely better ways to store a leather product than others, but as long as you're not hanging it in direct sunlight or just letting it have a fun time in the bathtub, you should be fine. I store mine with my other harnesses in a large shoebox, kind of gently folded over, but not crumpled up so I avoid damaging the leather over time.



Though a little high maintenance, performance wise and design wise, this harness will more than make up for the few rules you need to follow to care for it.

The packaging was simple and a little minimal for my taste. The harness is equipped with a tag that describes Aslan's company, and is stored in a plain plastic bag with nothing written on it. The packaging is discreet enough, I suppose. I tossed it. Since it is plastic, it's recyclable.

So, about the tags. When I got my harness, there were three tags in all on the harness, and one attached to the O-ring piece. All three tags are made of a scratchy material and seem really unnecessary to place all around the harness. Aslan has given me kind of poor customer service in the past. I wrote them an email inquiring about a harness twice and just never got a reply back. Perhaps they don't check the site's email or just didn't feel like answering my inquiry. Either way, the -four- tags on my harness when I received it seemed like they just didn't want me forgetting who made my harness, even if it meant a little discomfort during wear.


Not one..



Not two...



But THREE tags, Aslan? Really?
