Use

The O2 Revolution is a girthy, filling dildo meant for thrusting, and is best for a user who wants a thick toy. I would not recommend this as a first toy, as it is quite large. It can be used in a harness, so it works for either solo or partner play.

Material / Texture

The combination of the plushy exterior and firm core makes this toy feel very realistic, while the fun colors keep it from looking realistic. This combination appealed to me, because I'm not a fan of sharing my bed severed body parts. Oh, okay, I'll admit it. I bought it in blue, because the icy look made me think of Iceman from the X-Men. (The comic, not the movie. The dude in the movie is too young for me.) I found myself quite surprised that Bobby Drake is so well-endowed. Who knew? (Well, besides regular readers of fanfiction, and possibly Hank McCoy.)

Anyway, back to the O2 Revolution Ice. It's made of silicone, which is odorless and tasteless. The texture is realistically soft yet veiny, with a plush layer above a very firm core. It has some flexibility, but there is a limit to the amount that it gives.

Design / Shape / Size

Big! That's the first word that comes to mind. Or the second, because 'icy' is still lingering around in my brain. This toy is not even remotely discreet in appearance, since it looks like an enormous blue cock, and I for one would not be hauling it around in my purse or letting it pass through any airport scanners.

The size is not an appropriate size for one's first toy. I know everyone's body is different, but this thing is big. Laid side by side, it doesn't look bigger than the Passion Wave (previously my biggest toy) but it sure feels bigger when in use. It's quite satisfying, but it requires both foreplay and adequate lubrication. Insertion is eased a bit by the softness of the head, and in use it strokes all the right places.

Due to the size, I strongly recommend that potential buyers take a look at the view-actual-size feature that Eden provides, and keep in mind that it truly feels as big as it looks, which is not always the case with toys.

The color takes this otherwise realistic-looking toy and adds a whimsical element.

Performance

This is a very filling toy, with a unique look and an amazingly realistic feel. With a little warmup, it makes for quite a satisfying experience. As far as thrusting goes, its size slows me down, and hanging onto the base does tire out the wrist a bit. I prefer the handle on the Fun Factory Curve to a harness-compatible base, but that's a personal preference and not a fault of the toy.

Used in the company of a good vibe, the O2 performs very well. The silicone carries vibrations relatively well if a vibe is held to the base, and should the vibe travel to regions slightly farther north, the O2 stays put for the final act without any assistance.

While this is harness compatible, I'll have to refer you to other reviews for that purpose, as I possess neither a harness nor a partner.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is easy to clean with mild soap or toy cleaner before and after use, and can be boiled in order to sterilize it for sharing between partners. The O2 is also dishwasher safe.

For storage, the O2 should be kept away from toys made of silicone composites, as the chemicals in those composites can cause pure silicone toys to melt. The softness of the O2's outer core also makes it necessary to store in a manner that does not squash it against other toys or surfaces, as it can pick up dents or creases. A separator bag is helpful to prevent lint collection.

Never use silicone lube on silicone toys, as the chemicals that keep the silicone in a liquid state will also liquify the toy, rendering it tragically tacky.

Packaging

The minimal, clear plastic packaging slid discreetly into the recycling bin inside of an empty bottle. It neither added to nor detracted from the toy's presentation, so if a gift of this nature is appropriate, the box shouldn't be an issue, provided it's opened in an appropriate venue. Christmas morning with Grandma and the kids is not such a venue -- the box is see-through and the product is not discreet in appearance.

Follow-up commentary
I've actually started to like this one more than I did before, but I didn't dislike it before, either. As I said in my original review, I find it best to go slow with the thrusting, due to the size of this toy, so while it's wonderfully filling, it's not a home run for me personally.

However, holding a strong vibe like the Mystic Wand to the base results in a much more spectacular grand finale. The silicone transmits the vibrations wonderfully, and with a toy this size, it feels like they're everywhere at once.

I'm quite delighted to discover this, because the Mystic Wand is a recent acquisition which is way too strong externally, for my personal tastes, so for me, the 02 really made it worth having.

It's been about six months since I bought this this toy (although not nearly as long since I reviewed it) and being quality silicone it still looks brand new. Since it has no electronic parts to break, I suspect it will continue in pristine condition so long as it receives proper care.

This is definitely a toy worth having, for anyone who likes a very filling toy.
