The Ass Play Ballsy won't leave ya hanging. It is great beginner toy or a warm up for anal. It works best for butt play, but in certain circumstances is of for vaginal too. The jelly material is better than most I have tried and the smell is relatively low. It even works in a harness if you have an o-ring small enough and a harness compatible with an o-ring of that size.

Pros
Firm and not super sticky, berry smell is low, veins, good starter, candium free
The Ass Play Ballsy is an overlooked toy. It is on many people's wishlists but not many people seem to have gotten it since there are not many reviews. Maybe this toy doesn't look good because of the too good to be true cheap price or the jelly material, but this dildo is one that wouldn't leave my balls blue...that is if I have any.
This dildo isn't the greatest for vaginal insertion because it is small, but it does wonders as an anal starter or warm up toy. It is the perfect length in my opinion for both occasions and can even work in a harness because of the balls base. I recommend this to pretty much anyone wanting to experiment with anal for the first time or two or someone looking for an inexpensive but functional warm up toy.
The Ass Play Ballsy is made of PVC Jelly. Okay okay...don't knock it right off the bat. This jelly isn't actually all that bad. It is much less sticky than most. Still flexible but firm, which is the kind I like. It does have that typical Doc Johnson berry smell that is a lot of the time overwhelming. Here it isn't as much, but still sticks the smell onto everything it touches, especially hands that touch it. This Jelly formula is actually made with an anti-bacterial and non-toxic formula and is latex and cadmium free. But it does contain phthalates. The back implies this material is PVC Sil-A-Gel, a special type of jelly that in my experience is more durable and less nasty.
Jelly is very porous though, so if you are wanting to share this, you need to use a condom. Also use a condom if you want to switch between vaginal an anal. Change the condom each time. Because this toy is small you may need to find smaller condoms. Condoms do fit over the base and keep them secure for the most part though.
Looks alone, the Ass Play Ballsy doesn't look too realistic. The head is smaller and the body is very veiny, but inside the body, it feels just as realistic as other anal starter toys that aesthetically look more like the real thing. The small head is designed to ease insertion. The veins not only feel good, but they also help the toy stay in. The body does get a little smaller at the base, but not enough to serve as a plug.
The total length is 4 1/2" and about 4" in insertable length. The thinnest portion is right below the head at 3". the thickest is around the middle of the body at 3 3/4" this is about 1 1/2" in diameter. The base is supposed to be flat balls, but it looks more like a cute butt. This base allows the toy to stand on its own, but it doesn't work as a suction cup very well. If you get it in the right position sometimes it works, but I don't believe it is designed to do so. The base is capable of being used with an O-ring of 3 1/2" in circumference- 1 1/4 in diameter. This won't work well with most harnesses though. Mine doesn't allow for an o-ring this small, so check before purchasing if strap-on play is what you want to use this for.
This dong is not discrete at all. The bright blue color and veined phallic shape are obvious. The small size makes it good for travel as long as you have a way to keep it cool and away from other things that would allow it to collect dust and lint, etc.
The best use for the Ass Play Ballsy is for anal play. It works wonders as a warm up toy for me and would be great for a beginner who wants to try it out. It isn't too long, so you can insert it all the way and it still is very comfortable to wear. The base is thin enough that I can wear this as a plug (I have a g-string harness) in my strap on harness. It didn't work in mine as a penetrating tool though because the o-ring required is too small.
The head makes insertion easy and I love when it pops in. the veins feel great also. Unfortunately using a condom, makes the veins feel pretty much non existent though. It is firm enough that it can be thrusted. This is awesome because a lot of toys in this price range, that are made of jelly, are way too soft and floppy for that. This toy has a down side for the males though. It isn't large enough to hit the p-spot (or the g-spot for females). So if that is something you want, you might want to look into a different toy or try a larger size. This does come in 5.5" and 7" length versions.
Like I said, vaginally this doesn't hit the g-spot, but it is thick enough to feel during thrusting. When I am playing with my clit while using a vibrator, I like to thrust in a toy that doesn't vibrate. I don't like large ones when I'm doing this though and the ass play ballsy is a good size. I can also put it all the way in and it stays put for the most part-until I want to finish, then it gets wriggled out.
Jelly can be used with water or silicone based lubricant. I recommend Colt Slick with this one. Wash thoroughly with warm water and soap. Do it twice for good measure if you want to because this material is extremely porous. If you use a condom, you should still rinse the lubricant off as well as the latex residue. When you store it make sure it is never in direct sunlight...it will melt. Also make sure it is in a package (the one it came with is fine) and not touching other toys otherwise it will melt this way, too. Once I had a jelly toy on a book shelf from Ikea...the oils or SOMETHING leaked out onto it and never came out. Watch where you rest this, too.
The first thing I noticed is that this is made in the USA! The package is a plastic snap shut one with a cardboard insert showing no graphic pictures but it does detail the toy. The back shows pictures of the rest of the Raging Hardons Slimline Anal Series. It is much larger than the toy, so I just cut the top off so it doesn't take up as much room.
I am giving the Ass Play Ballsy 4 stars. I works and feels great anally, but the material is very porous and takes a lot of care to keep it safe for use and making sure it does not melt. This type of material has burned me in the past after about 6 months. Throw it out immediately if it does this to you. The price is great though and the PVC jelly material is not as sticky as others and more firm than most. It is a great toy for pretty much anyone.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it2 months after original review
The Ass Play Ballsy is great for anal warm up. It has the perfect size and texture to get me relaxed for larger toys or for my partner. I always use a condom and haven't noticed any change in the material as of yet. The smell is a bit less although not much and still sticks to anything that touches it. I just wish they had this toy in silcione. I hope that with Doc Johnson turning some of their toys silicone they will eventually get to this one too.
