I always wondered what it would be like to have a real leather harness for playtime. I never really thought I would get the opportunity to try one seeing as I tend to lack willing participants for such matters. Though, I found a perfect partner for the Jolly Rider double strap leather harness.

This harness is great for men or women alike to use. Of course, the primary use most people think of when they see a strap on or harness is two women using it together. This is one of the uses, but it could be used by a woman pegging her man as well.

While leather may seem intimidating and scary, I don't see why a beginner couldn't use this. It is easy to operate and very easy to step into and out of as well as adjust.

This harness is made from real leather, so anyone who tries to live Vegan or leather-free, stay away from this product, please. Otherwise, play on, player! Leather and metal make up the two materials used for this harness. You get that faint leather smell to your product upon first opening it and then the ever-present smell of leather long after opening it and having it.

The leather is very soft, and I found it does not rub against your skin quite as roughly as one may think it does. I tried this both with and without tights on just to judge the level of friction in it. More on the skin to leather contact in another section.

I'm no expert on leather by any means, but this seems to be a pretty steady leather to me. Maybe a little thin, but would you really want your harness to be this huge bulky piece of leather weighing you down? The leather has a nice stretch to it, so it fits bigger hips rather well. Your reviewer here recently found out she went from 44" hips to 47" hips. So this was snug, but not uncomfortable nor did I feel like I was "muffin-topping" from it either.

My experience with strap-ons and harnesses, in general, is a bit limited here, so I am speaking purely from a more novice harness-user point of view. As stated above as well, I am also not an expert on leather. However, I feel like this harness is very well made, pretty sturdy, and will last a long time in one's collection so long as you are not consistently stretching the leather beyond its means.

The O-ring is completely removable from this harness. That way you can change the sizes and possibly types of rings that you want to use with this. Both the hip and the leg straps of this harness and adjustable as well. On the last hole of the hip straps, it fits a 47" hip comfortably. The leg straps have a tighten or loosen as needed feature and no latch or holes.

I tried this out with many of my dildos and found that it works best with dildos and realistic cocks that DO NOT have balls attached. The balls are hard to move around with the o-ring and hole.





I found that smaller, less heavy dildos worked best in this. Simply because heavy dildos and Big Ol Boy type dildos are just far too heavy for even this harness to handle. Not to mention the basic space available with the provided O ring and diameter of the space. The hole behind the O-ring is provided so that you can pull the base of your strap-on dildo through for better leverage.

Now, I know I said this fits my 47" hips, and it is not uncomfortable to me, but know that this is meant to fit 28"-44" hips. Just know that your experience will vary with this.

I do believe most users will find this to be easily adjustable and wearable. To me, it was like slipping on a pair of ass-less, crotchless, leather undies since it has the double leg strap for ease of wear and use.

Some users may want to wear a pair of underwear under this if they fear friction or discomfort from the leather. I wore a pair of tights once and bared another time. There were rubbing and friction from being bare on me. I do have rather sensitive skin that will turn red and pucker at friction. Most people may not have any issues, however. Wear this how it feels comfortable to you.

Maybe it's from my lack of experience with harnesses, but I did find that trying to get a toy in and out of the harness while wearing it was a bit difficult. So if you're looking to switch toys mid-play, this may be a frustration you will find. Of course, changing out toy out without wearing it will be much easier.

In use, I found that this was more stable than using most of the fabric harnesses I've ever used. Using my 6.5" dildo worked very well. It wasn't too floppy and stayed very stable in multiple positions. Overall, I found this harness to be very sturdy and easy to use.

Whether you are into pegging, gender play, lesbian, you should find this to be a satisfactory harness.

Since this is leather, I would use a damp cloth to wipe down any mess on the harness. Try to keep the metal dry, since we don't know exactly what kind of metal it is; it could flake or rust.
