The Reach is a fairly simple dildo from Doc Johnson's new line of platinum silicone toys. It's a decent dildo with some good qualities, but as I am a bit of a size-queen, it didn't exactly blow me away. The main thing I do like about this toy is that it's made of high quality platinum silicone, so it's about as body-friendly and safe as it gets.

The Reach is 7" long with 6" of insertable length, which makes it a good length for holding onto when playing solo or with a partner. The whole shaft is incredibly smooth and has a modest girth at 1 1/2" in diameter. On one end is a larger, bulbous head, and on the other is a little bit of a handle that is just slightly larger than the rest of the shaft. The whole toy is flexible and a bit squishy, yet firm. This makes it decent for g-spot stimulation, though I found it a little too floppy to really zero in on the spot. It also warms to body temperature pretty quickly and retains heat well. My Reach is a pretty pink, shimmery color that I really like; it is also available in a nice, shimmery white. This toy's non-threatening size and appearance make it perfect for beginners and a nice toy to add to most collections, though size-queens like me will likely find it a bit disappointing. It just doesn't give me that full feeling I love. The Reach does not have a flared base and should not be used anally. It could get lost, resulting in a very embarrassing trip to the ER.

The awesome thing about the Reach is that it's platinum silicone, and that means it's as safe and body-friendly as it can be. It's completely non-porous, phthalate free, and hypoallergenic and can be sterilized. To clean it, just boil it for a few minutes, wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, or if you're a little less picky like me, just use some antibacterial soap and warm water. The end with the slightly raised handle has the words "Doc Johnson" engraved into it, so extra care should be taken when cleaning to avoid bacteria build up in that area. Silicone lube is not compatible with silicone toys and could melt or otherwise damage it. The Reach also attracts lint and hair like crazy, so I store mine in a plastic baggy to make sure it doesn't get fuzzy.

With this toy, a little lube goes a long way. It's perfectly smooth, so it's easy to get nice and slippery. Because it's made of silicone, only water-based lube should be used. Silicone lube is not compatible with silicone toys and can melt or otherwise damage them.

The Reach comes in a box with a window on the front that shows the Reach inside, which is behind clear plastic. It says Doc Johnson on the top, bottom, and back of the box, so if you want inconspicuous storage, I wouldn't recommend using the packaging. The back says "made in USA" and has a "phthalate free SIL" label. The box also contains a little folded booklet showing other products in Doc Johnson's platinum silicone line.

The Reach has a non-intimidating size, shape, and color that makes it a perfect toy for beginners and a nice toy to add to almost any collection. Size-queens like me, however, will likely be disappointed and not get a really full feeling. If you want a super safe, moderately sized toy and aren't looking for a lot of frills, look no further. If you need a bigger toy, a lot of firmness for your g-spot, or more texture, look elsewhere.

My favorite way to use this dildo so far is during double penetration with my boyfriend. I like to be on my knees with him behind me, and this toy is long enough that I can be in that position and still thrust it in and out of my pussy with little stress on my arms.
