The Ophoria Beyond #3 is a gorgeously designed silicone dildo. From the bulbous head to the ridges on the shaft to the curled handle, a lot of thought has clearly been put into the Beyond #3's design. The black silicone is rigid and unyielding (unlike the Fun Factory Curve, a similar dildo, whose silicone is squishier and has more give). The other main difference between the Beyond #3 and the Fun Factory Curve is that the shaft on the Beyond #3 is mostly straight, aside from the g-spotting head that curves up and the handle that curves down. Close to the handle end, the Beyond #3 has the characteristic Ophoria raised band around its circumference: I found this band to be purely decorative, as it is already about six inches from the insertable end. Mine has a visible seam running the entire length (front and back) of the dildo, but during use, I couldn't feel it.

The Beyond #3 comes in an elegant (and sturdy) black and white cardboard box, with a plastic insert for the dildo and use/care instructions in multiple languages. The manufacturer made sure to print on the box that all parts of the packaging are recyclable: just be sure to sort the plastic and the cardboard. Since the dildo is made of silicone, there's no odor when you open the box, just smooth, black, silicone-y goodness.

The rigidity of the silicone makes this toy extremely effective for g-spotting. The Beyond #3 is a medium sized dildo: at it's thickest point (halfway down the shaft), it's about 1 ¾” in diameter. The head is also about that wide, but the shaft in between is thinner (about 1 ½” in diameter). Since the head is larger in diameter than the shaft of the toy, water-based lube is definitely recommended. When inserted, the silicone feels silky-smooth and wonderful. The curled handle is easy to hold on to, whether you want to thrust with the Beyond #3 or just rock back and forth on it. The ridges on the shaft can definitely be felt: they're mostly stimulating to the entrance of the vagina. The last ridge hit my clit (and felt nice), but individual anatomy will vary. In any case, it is possible to insert the Beyond #3 for g-spot stimulation and rub the clit along the shaft simultaneously. The Beyond #3 would also be ideal for prostate stimulation: the curled handle will act as a base and prevent the toy from becoming pulled too far inside the body.

Nuts and bolts wise, the Beyond #3 is made of pure medical grade silicone. Cleaning silicone is easy: soap and water, toy cleaner, or toy wipes will all work. This toy can be sterilized (by putting it in top rack of the dishwasher with no soap, wiping it down with 10% bleach solution, or boiling it for 3 minutes), so it can be used with multiple partners or for switching back and forth between anal and vaginal use—just be sure to sterilize in between! Be careful only to use water-based lubes with the Beyond #3, since silicone lubes and silicone toys have been known not to play nicely together.
