Dai-Do #5 is a metal dildo that can be used in a variety of ways. Although it is shorter than many dildos, it still is fun and pleasurable to use. This one can be used by anyone for anal play, vaginal play, or stimulating external areas. Due to the material it is also great for temperature play and is very safe. Even though it is hard, I did not have any issues with fast thrusting because of the size.

If you have read my reviews for glass toys, you know that glass is my favorite material... Well, this one has put metal up there on my list. It is just as smooth and glides effortlessly over different parts of my body and is also firm enough to provide various sensations. Specifically this one is Aluminum with some Stainless Steel and silicone around the logo. This material rates a "8" on the material scale. It does not contain any phthalates or other chemicals that are harmful or that may cause reactions in some people. There is also no smell when it is taken out of the box.

One of my favorite features of this material is the fact that it is even better for temperature play than glass! Right out of the box it is a lot colder than glass, which is really nice. I also like that it gets hotter and stays warmer longer than glass does. This means that it is important to test the toy, the inside of your wrist is a good place, to make sure it isn't too hot or too cold.

The only texture that this toy has is the bulbs that make up the insertable portion. These bulbs are not overly stimulating and they should be nice for a user of any level.

As I mentioned, Dai-Do #5 is a shorter dildo. It has a total length of 5.5 inches, but only about 3.5 inches can be inserted. It is shaped like a snowman because it is 3 balls that each increase with size as they get closer to the large ball/handle at the bottom. The smallest of the 3 balls starts off with a diameter at about an inch, the middle one about 1.25 inches, and the largest is 1.5 inches. I think this size will work for all users, when used vaginally, and also should work for most users no matter their level of experience when used anally because you can take it slow.

I was worried that this one would be too short for me to enjoy vaginally, but that was not the case. The bulbs feel great as the stimulate the first few inches of my vagina. They also offer something to grasp for kegel exercises. If I insert as much as I can and push the larger ball instead of holding it, then I can sort of reach my g-spot. For anal use, the size works well for slow thrusting, holding it in place, or slow circular motions. The main downside in regards to the size and anal play is the weight. It is too heavy to stay inserted without holding it in place, and if you let go the large ball will start to pull the toy down and out of your body.

The Dai-do #5 is not realistic in appearance at all, so maybe you can get away with saying it is a kitchen utensil (like a meat tenderizer) if anyone should ask. I do think that if you brought it in your carry on bag for a flight, then it might be considered a weapon because of the weight and material.

This one performed even better than I anticipated. As mentioned, I wasn't counting on this being something that would get me off vaginally, but I was wrong. With the entire toy inserted and some rapid pushing on the larger ball (the base) I had no trouble orgasming. In addition, I was not sure how much I would like it anally. I was worried that it would be too large after the first bulb for me, but inserting the first bulb worked as a "warm up" for the second one and so on. In addition to the increasing size working in my favor, the fact that the Dai-Do #5 is so slick with just a little lube helped a lot. I am happy that I was able to enjoy this one in both areas of my body. Even though I found this one to be very pleasurable, I still wish it was just an inch longer. I think that would make it more ideal in my opinion. For external use, the bulbs feel nice if you glide them across your nipples or clitoris. I can orgasm from rubbing this one on my clitoris because the slick material allows me to get some nice movements going.

Aluminum, like other safer sex toys, is very easy to care for because it is non porous. It can be washed with warm water and anti bacterial soap and can be sanitized by running it through the top rack of the dishwasher with no soap. Just be sure to dry it with a cloth after cleaning.

It is compatible with ALL lubes, which is great when you want to use silicone lube for anal use so that it stays slick longer.

I keep mine stored in a thin satin pouch that was included with the toy.

I'm not sure why, but I was expecting more than I got in regards to the packaging with this toy. It came in a thin cardboard box with pictures of the toy on it. There is some information about the toy on the outside of the box. It is not extremely discreet but nothing too bad, so it could be used for gift giving. Inside the box, the Dai-Do #5 is nestled in a molded plastic insert that is covered in a velvet-type material. Also in the box is a little booklet about the other products in the Dai-Do line and a satin storage pouch. The outer packaging was nothing great, so I got rid of it.

I enjoy the Dai-Do #5 because it is versatile and works for me in different ways. I like toys that can be used in multiple ways because it means I don't need to drag out a chunk of my collection for every session.

A partner could really make things more fun when it comes to anal use, because the weight can be a bit much sometimes. If I use this one with someone then I will make sure to discuss how it went in my follow up review.

After I felt how warm this one can get I knew I had to try it for massage. Letting it sit in really warm water for a while and then using the tip for deep massage or gliding the shaft along for a different sensation is something I really enjoy. When I use this one cold, it is really cold. It works really well for rubbing on my nipples when it is warm in my apartment. I think using the Dai-Do #5 cold while a partner is blindfolded can make for a fun Summer experience!
