Colt rammer - dildo discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Serendipity

The Colt Rammer is a naughty twist on a dildo by California Exotics. I love the look of this dildo; the head is sleek and demure looking while all the danger is in the spiky balls.

This is a great dildo for anal penetration in particular since the rubber material is beautifully bendy without losing thrust power. Of course, the Colt Rammer is also fantastic for vaginal penetration and cocksucking. It is harness compatible (depending on the harness you use) as long as the balls can be accommodated and then there's that dangling chain...what is up with that chain? I'm not sure and it did get in my way at times but I think it definitely has it's place on this badass dildo.

This dildo is made of rubber and there is a steel chain attached at the base. Rubber is porous and does emit a smell which is more pronounced when you first open the package and less so the more you clean the product. I don't expect the rubbery smell to ever go completely away but that doesn't bother me.

The fact that rubber is porous and cannot be sanitized is definitely a concern and I recommend a condom always be used for this reason. The head and shaft of the dildo are smooth and the head is not ridged which provides extra smoothness on entry. The balls are spiky but not in a hurtful way because the rubber tips are still bendable.

The spiky balls are excellent for clitoral stimulation but not during penetration. Instead, I turned the dick around and held the shaft and rubbed the spikes on the clitoris and vulva. The chain can get in the way at times; it is heavy but I could tuck it inside my harness when used that way. I found that it was helpful to wrap my finger around the keyring for extra grip when I masturbated with the Colt Rammer.

The design is great although I think I would have made the chain removable as I can see that being a problem for some folks. The head of this dildo is similar to an uncircumcised penis and very smooth, much like the shaft. The dildo is 7 1/2 inches long with an insertable length of 6 1/4 inches. I am a size queen but I also like variety in shape, size and color so this dick is larger than an average penis but not huge. I think this is actually a great size for a dildo and would recommend it for everyone from beginners to seasoned players.

The balls are certainly not realistic but add a bit of a 'dangerous' look to the dildo. They are more bark than bite which works well in this case - the fact that the spikes can provide texture but not pain makes this toy more user friendly for those curious to explore the 'dark side'.

This penis completely lived up to my expectations especially in the area of cocksucking. The smoothness of the head is great for a beginner to practice on, given the fact that this dildo is somewhat flexible and will help your throat relax. The balls can be grabbed and played with while sucking and the gently curved shaft helps you take in more than you might have thought you could (or was that because I was holding the back of their head?!)

For penetration, anal is quite lovely with this dildo. Steel and glass toys have a place in my heart but my favorite sex toys are dildos that have some give while still maintaining rigidity and the Colt Rammer fits that profile all the way. For beginners that want to experiment with anal play, I recommend this or a similar dildo that has give. Be over-the-top generous when applying lube, take your time and ensure the anus is warmed up adequately with some finger play. Again, because rubber is porous, please use a condom. It's cleaner and safer to play that way.

The chain at the base of this dildo is somewhat curious. At first glance, the Colt Rammer is an extremely large (and heavy!) keychain novelty. My guess is the same as Toying Couple (who also reviewed this item), that the chain was put there to add to it's 'bikerish' look.

I did discover a fun use for the chain and have chosen to hang this dildo from it in my closet. This is a good thing because the rubber material does still produce a small odor and because of this I prefer not to store this dildo in general population with my other toys. To clean this product, use soap and water or toy cleaner. You cannot boil rubber so will never be able to sterilize the Colt Rammer. The Colt Rammer is compatible with silicone and water based lubes so pick your preference. Of course, if you are using a condom with this dildo, ensure the lube you choose is compatible with the condom.

Cleaning the spikes is made easier if you use a gentle scrub brush with soap and water or cleaner and hang to dry (the chain is proving more useful all the time!)

Minimal packaging; I have once again amused the guys that pick up my recycling. The telltale plastic in the shape of a big dong gets them every time! I'm a hardcore recycler but am thinking of putting my plastic in my neighbor's bin next time :P

I am fortunate that this item did come to me for free to review as I am not certain I would have paid nearly 50 dollars for it. The look of this dildo would have sorely tempted me, but I would have expected a rubber dildo to retail more in the 30-40 dollar range.
