Veined slim - dildo discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by clumsythumbs

I was extremely excited when I received my Veined Slim because it seemed like it would be a total package. However, over all, I found the entire toy to be somewhat lacking.

Seeing the toy was my first disappointment. I got the purple version and the beautiful details and swirls that are visible in the product's picture are very difficult to make out unless you're holding it right under a light. For me, I like my toys to be eye candy as much as body candy, so this sort of turned me off to it. I also felt that the veins weren't quite as pronounced as they had looked. This all could have been me simply having high hopes for this one, but I'm only trying to share my observations.

Of course, aesthetics aren't the only thing that made me iffy about this one. I know that the toy was described as being scented. I expected that when I opened the package. However, the "scent" was a huge turn off. It reminded me very much of a very sweet smelling dish soap. It wasn't noticeable unless I had the toy very close to my face, but it stuck to my hands like mad. I had to wash them multiple times to try to get the smell out of my skin, and even then, I felt like I had a smell clinging to me. The smell seems to be fading as the toy has time to air out, but I still smell it on my hands after using it.

Using the toy was pleasant though. The shape, which looking less exaggerated to the eye, feels great when inserted and definitely made each movement interesting. It never felt the same twice and that was something I greatly enjoyed. The size (in terms of thickness) is nice and comfortable too if you're not looking for something that will stretch or hurt. As far as length, you have a lot to work with here, so it's easy to start slowly and work up to deeper penetration. I actually preferred this toy without lube because using lube seemed to make it very difficult to feel the details of the veins. The friction was more pleasurable.

The material is something that I didn't enjoy much at all though after I was done using it. During use, it was nice and flexible while maintaining that first and stiff feeling. When I was done though, cleaning this toy was a nightmare. It felt sticky and even if I sprayed it very liberally with toy cleaner, it seemed to do nothing but attract lint and hair. Cleaning cloths had the same problem --- it was very difficult to rub the cloth along the material to make sure all of the details of the veins were properly cleaned out. I am obsessive about cleaning my toys, so this was a huge issue for me. I needed to know that every small nook and cranny could be easily cleaned, and with this toy, I didn't feel like that was happening at all.

Over all, this isn't a toy I would necessarily suggest if you're looking for a long term relationship with a dildo. For the cost, it's a decent toy that you can use and expect to dispose of eventually without feeling like you lost too much.
