Gold spiral wrapped baton - glass dildo discontinued by Phallix - review by highly unlikely

I ordered this glass baton because I hated the sticky jelly feel of a rabbit vibrator I had purchased as my first "toy". This was much more expensive, so it goes to show you get what you pay for. Upon opening a fairly boring, discreet shipping box, you come to a velvety padded pink drawstring pouch. Inside the pouch is what you would think is a work of art. The dildo is absolutely gorgeous! The baton type handle is silky smooth clear glass that seamlessly flows into the base of the dildo. The handle end has a small head that could be inserted for a less intense experience. Once you reach the base, the pink glass spirals ascend to the head. Within each pink ribbon is a delicately entwined golden colored thread of glass. It is almost an iridescent golden shimmer against the pink spirals. As you reach the head, it slightly expands, becoming a bit more "engorged" and then tapers ever so slightly to a snakelike head with two small elongated grooves.

The baton can be quite exciting to use based on whether or not you use it warmed, cooled or at room temperature. Even at room temp., it is cool to the touch. You are not supposed to freeze glass, but you can get it really cold in a glass of ice water or just under a cold tap. To warm it up, you need only to run it under warm water.

The glass baton is fairly large, so upon insertion I would suggest a nice lubricant. Our favorite is Aloe Cadabra, but because it is glass, any type of lube would work. This keeps it moving without being sticky.

I suggest that unless you are used to glass toys, take it slow. The dildo is filling, but also very heavy. My husband has to consciously support the baton handle to keep it from lowering, causing the dildo part to raise and press uncomfortably inside. After a bit of practice, I think you will love the sensations caused be the temperatures as well as the friction caused by the spiraling ridges. The dildo gives different sensations as it is either thrusted, rotated, or a combination of the two.

This baton is easily cleaned because it is solid glass. I use soap and water and a towel dry. It says you can put it in the dishwasher, but that would be hard to explain if the kids or housekeeper unloaded the dishwasher! You could easily use this in the bathtub, although I don't suggest using it in the shower. It is large and heavy, and slippery when wet. If you were to drop this you could damage it on a tile shower or really hurt someone's toes.
