That is the problem with glass toys, unfortunately. You need to very carefully check the entire surface before each use, for cracks or scratches. Many of the glass toys are made of Pyrex glass, which is very sturdy, but not break-proof.
Steel toys have the same texture (or so I hear) but are definitely not as pretty. They're also scratch- and crack-resistant.

Speaking as somebody who owns their fair share of glass toys do not fret, do not worry, no it will not break. The worst thing that can happen to a glass toy is it gets a scratch, but these things won't break in you. Drop it off a desk, maybe, but to be frank it can survive that too so long as it isn't a hard surface. Just a little tlc, keep them in their little velvet bags most come with and you'll be just fine.
Glass is the most wonderful material to play with imo, it doesn't absorb any moisture so when you get wet it stays wet and slides easier with you, and it also absorbs body heat and can warm up as you do too. It can also go in the fridge and be boiled.
In short, it won't break so go treat yourself and get glass!

The glass for sex toys is very safe. I wouldn't worry about it breaking inside of you. If it gets scratched, you might not want to use it, since that might scratch you up, but I don't think I've ever even heard of that happening. I don't own any glass yet, but it's something I've been reading up on.

You need to make sure the company you buy from annealed the glass properly, because that goes a long way to ensure it's durability.

I know how you feel. I'm terrified of one cracking, but since they are pyrex I guess I feel a little better.

I JUST ordered a glass toy yesterday! I cannot wait to get it and try it out...I WAS worried, too, but after reading how much safer they really are, I bought one! YAY!
I was gonna joke with my fiancé about the whole Pyrex thing, since we have a little collection of Pyrex bowls but I have not told him about ALL of my toys, yet!
