Just a Little Tease

If you are new to anal play and don't want to spend much money, try this out. More advanced users, keep looking for a better quality material that can be sterilized and doesn't reek like gasoline.

Use

This is a California Exotics dildo that is best used for anal play. It can be used vaginally but it might be a little too thin for some, unless you are a beginner or have tightness due to medical issues. Anally, it is best for beginners or as a warm up, because it is very thin.

It can be used in a harness as a strap-on, just with hands, or the base can act as a suction cup if used on a flat, smooth surface.

Because of the base, you do not have to worry about it being lost inside you when used anally.

It is very soft and squishy, so you also will not bruise yourself if thrusting with this teaser.

Material / Texture

This toy is jelly, which is a terrible material choice for anal toys. It is sticky and has a lot of drag and is a complete lint magnet. Also, IT REEKS. It smells like chemicals and has almost a gasoline-like scent. Numerous washes later, it still stinks. It tastes like chemicals too, though not as strongly as it smells.

It has a defined head, like a penis, and two ridges along the shaft, which adds stimulation.

The toy is soft and squishy, but firm enough to insert anally.

The texture (head and ridges) is good for any user. The texture of the material (sticky and draggy) is good for no one. The material overall is bad for anal.

Design / Shape / Size

The design, size, and shape is good for a beginner anal toy. It is slim enough that it is non-threatening, but the ridges add texture and interest to what could have been an otherwise boring toy. It could be used as a warm up for more advanced users.

I like the defined head and ridges. They can definitely be felt internally and that's nice.

It's small size makes it a fine choice for travel dildo.

The dimensions are (straight from product details):

Insertable length:
4 1/4"
Circumference:
3"
Diameter:
1"
Harness compatibility:
O-ring compatible
Weight:
0.2 lb

Here is a picture of it next to my finger. As you can tell, the toy is about 1.5 times larger than my finger and I have small hands, so this would definitely be a warm up or teaser toy.

Performance

The best part about this toy is that it's a great intro to anal play for beginners. It would also be a good warm up for more advanced users. The size is non-threatening and not intimidating at all. It is harness compatible, but I have not used it in a harness. It has a suction cup base that sticks on any smooth, flat surface and I love that. Lots of bouncing fun.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is not as easy to take care of as others because the poor quality of material. It is easy to wash with wipes, toy cleaner or soap and water but be careful when storing it because it could melt, or in my experience, absorb the ink off packaging. The porosity of jelly is a real pain. It is compatible with silicone or water based lubricant.

If you share this, you must use a condom. I would recommend using a condom even if you're the only person using it because jelly can never be fully sterilized.

Additionally, the sticky and draggy nature of this material will attract tons of lint and hair. Store it in the plastic clamshell it came in or a little satin pouch.

Follow-up commentary
This toy is a really great size and shape for beginners if you don't care about the odor and crappy material. If you are willing to use a condom over it, that would also help. The smell bothers me a lot though. It is a shame it is such a bad material because it really is a good, not intimidating dildo for anal beginners.

I don't think it's fair to recommend beginners to buy horrible smelling unsafe toys! What if it puts them off anal toys or any toys because they think all toys are that bad? Beginners deserve quality toys too, and there are plenty of safe toys at reasonable price points to steer them towards instead.

Thanks for reading everyone! @Silverdrop, as I said in the review, the size and shape are what I thought was good for beginners (small, thin, nonthreatening). I definitely understand what you are saying though and I appreciate you reading my review.
