The toy is silicone, and that means water-based lubrication only. Don't make the mistake of using silicone lube with this, as the results won't be pretty. There is a gap where the dildo fits onto the stiffer core. It wouldn't be a good idea to get water down in it.

For cleaning, I preferred to just allow hot water to run over the end of the dildo via the bathroom sink while holding the end with the connector point. You can wipe it down with a cleaning cloth and toy cleaner, as well as antibacterial soap. Then just pat it dry. Don't use a fuzzy towel, as that usually leaves fibers behind. For storage, I found it easiest to just use the box it came in. It is easy to unscrew the arm points so it can fold down tight to the base. Similarly, it's easier to keep the power cord, control box, machine, and dildo all in one place.

I would say the only ones who really should be cautious with this are those who squirt heavily during orgasm. Depending on the volume, there could be a risk of getting fluid down near where the control box plugs into the machine itself.

Of course, there is always a fix for this. It is entirely possible to waterproof the connection point where the control box plugs into the machine. Of course, this would mean the wire would be more permanently fixed into place, but that's not a huge problem. There is a rubber spray on the market, I'm sure most have seen the commercials with the boat made from screen doors or chicken wire, coated in this spray.

I don't believe it would be much trouble to connect the control box to the machine, and then spray this sealant on the cord and side of the machine to allow it to seal over the hole.

But this is just a personal observation. Most shouldn't have a problem with this, and it may be that a heavy squirter may not have that problem either.
