This toy is intended to be inserted vaginally and used to penetrate a partner. The shorter "bulb" end is inserted and the longer "shaft" end can be used for penetration or to simulate oral sex. It can be used in a variety of ways and is definitely something that people with the right anatomy for the product could get creative with. As far as anatomy goes though, I am a big girl with big thighs and a belly...which lead to me not having much length to work with when penetrating a partner.

The Gal Pal is made from silicone. This means it is latex free, hypo-allergenic and non-porous. Silicone is a very body-friendly material. The material itself has a nice, smooth feel and there is no noticeable seam from molding.

The toy itself is a bit plush with some flexibility to it. Too much flexibility, in my opinion but we'll get to that in a bit. The longer end of the toy is also textured, it has three slightly graduated balls on the end that are designed to provide a bit more stimulation than the average smoothly textured toy. I think that this texture is a nice addition and isn't intimidating, even for a beginner, especially if the toy is being used for vaginal penetration. I also believe that this toy might gain some stability from a harness but don't currently have a harness to try it with.

I could not discern any smell or taste from the toy.

Personally, I don't like the design of this toy at all. I found that the bent section of the toy was much too flexible, making inserting the short end (measuring 4.5in) into the wearer a bit difficult. I also had some other issues. Once the shorter end was inserted into me, there simply wasn't enough of the longer end (measuring 7in) sticking out from between my thighs to make using it on someone practical. Yes, I have rather large thighs but I can see this being an issue for an average size person as well. The long end just needs to be longer. I also really feel like this toy is just too flexible to support the length it does have.

I do like the shape and it seems like if the design had been executed better, I would have thoroughly enjoyed this toy. The shorter end does have a nice feel to it and the curve provides a bit of gspot stimulation.

Performance wise, I couldn't get this toy to work for me at all. I really wanted it to but it just didn't live up to any of my expectations. If I had actually been able to use it for it's intended purpose, I might have a little more insight on the subject. I think that without the flexibility issues and when being used by someone with tiny little thighs, it might have potential.

As far as being the wearer goes, it does fit comfortably and provide a bit of gspot stimulation, which I certainly have no objections to. I think that the stimulation would be greater when combined with thrusting and the curve of the toy might put some nice pressure on the gspot as well.

Since the Gal Pal is silicone, it is super easy to care for. It can be cleaned with soap and water, your favorite toy cleaner or just tossed in the dishwasher. I do recommend keeping it either in the plastic clam shell it came with or in some type of toy pouch. It's not a terrible offender as far as picking up hair and particles but every now and then, something does stick to it. Also, it is ONLY compatible with water based lubricants. A silicone based lubricant might degrade the material and no one likes it when that happens.

The toy comes in a clear, clam-shell style plastic package. It is not discreet at all as it clearly displays the toy. It can be used for storage though, which is definitely a bonus. If I was going to give this as a gift, I would definitely wrap it or put it in a nifty gift bag as opposed to just sticking a bow on the package. This type of packaging is mostly functional and not very aesthetically pleasing.

Sadly, I think the big girls should steer clear of this one!
