The Lovemoiselle Noemi is really a class-act dildo, which is immediately apparent from its presentation. I love toys that come with extensive descriptions or instructions and nice packaging because it shows that the manufacturer has put a great deal of thought into the product. That is certainly the case here. The Noemi comes in an pretty black box, nestled in a custom foam cut-out, and comes with a velour drawstring storage pouch that provides just enough cushion to protect the ceramic dildo from chipping if it hits a hard surface. The informative booklet tell us that the manufacturer’s “vision it to help human sexuality bloom by creating unique and innovative objects that combine perfect function with glamorous design”. Amen to that!

The Noemi has wonderful curves, which feels delightful going in and out. You can usually stimulate the G-spot by angling it right; the stimulation of a changing diameter can be very thrilling. A pretty purple flower appliqué enhances its aesthetics but is also safely and permanently glazed over. I love the fact that there are two places toward the base of the dildo that can be used as the handle. I used the lowest bulb when I wanted to get it especially deep and the larger bulb when it didn’t have to be so deep. Both felt comfortable in my hands. It's 1.4" inches thick at the widest points, and I love the generous 8.2" length. Definitely a plus for me!

Ceramic offers another benefit over glass and metal besides being lighter: it warms up more quickly. I love glass and metal, but I find that I use them for plain old fucking more often than for temperature play. And when I reach into the nightstand in a moment of passion, I want my dildo to be ready quickly; coldness can be a turn-off for me in these situations. The Noemi really does warm up faster than glass or metal; a few seconds rubbed in between your palms will do the trick. Of course, if you like it cold, submerge in some ice water for a couple of minutes and it will stay cold for a while. Caution: don't move the Noemi or any ceramic or glass dildo from extremely cold ice water to boiling water, as very rapid temperature changes can cause breakage.

The ceramic is hollow, with a silicone plug covering the hole at the base and effectively preventing water from entering it. The hollowness gives it a light feel in your hand, which is fantastic for anybody with wrist problems or other limitations. In fact, this dildo is lighter than a solid silicone one of equal size would be—definitely a plus for some users. If you are addicted to the feel of heavy glass or metal, this one might not be for you. I appreciate having both heavier and lighter dildos in my collection. But light does not mean fragile in this case. According to the detailed booklet that accompanies the toy, it’s made using “a special manufacturing process to make the Lovemoiselle range exceptionally durable, strong and safe to use. In fact, if you care for your Lovemoiselle toy properly, it will last for a lifetime making it the most very environmentally friendly range too.” Also: “Different mechanical tests showed that Lovemoiselle products will never break under normal usage.” This dildo will easily survive minor falls, but if you drop it hard enough on a hard surface and it does chip, the manufacturers suggest no longer using it.

The ceramic material is exceptionally safe and “chemical tests confirmed that the glazed surface of Lovemoiselle does not absorb any liquids”. So wash after every use with soap and water and use a 10% bleach solution if you need to disinfect so different people can use it. Put a condom on it otherwise if you want to share it. Any lube, including those that are silicone-based, will work wonderfully.
