At first I was a little underwhelmed by its size, but I stayed open minded. I think my girlfriend was feeling the same amount of hesitation since she normally enjoys much more girth. The base is large and great for using with a harness. I use the Throb with the Vegan Commando double strap Harness, and the two make a perfect pair. One good thing about this dildo is that it is not too heavy, and therefore does not pull down on a harness. The Throb is incredibly easy to insert into the harness and stays secure. However, during extended or rough sessions, the Throb does sometimes spin into a downward position. This was not too much of an issue when it did occur, I just simply rotated the dildo back to the upward position to utilize the curve to hit the G-spot.

I have not used the dildo for solo play, but my girlfriend has and did not have any trouble bringing herself to climax with it. That is saying a lot since she usually has to have clitoral stimulation simultaneously when masturbating.
