To Love or Not to Love

The toy itself is pretty and aesthetically pleasing,, and I wanted to love everything about this toy. However the pointed tip limited how much force could be used with this toy before becoming painful, and I found that the Heart texture irritated the skin around the vaginal opening. I will forever love glass toys, but this felt like more effort was put into the appearance of the toy than how it would feel during use.

Use

I was so excited to receive this toy. It's my first glass dildo, and will definitely not be my last. The toy is great for many types of use, alone or with a partner, or with or without a vibrator for additional clitoral stimulation. The flared head of the toy feels great when inserted. However, the tip does comes to a slight point, so be careful with using too much force with thrusting. It can be fun to use with my partner. However, it can become painful when too much force is used, so I generally prefer it for solo play since I have more control over the force of the thrusting.

While I've never used this anally, the flared base makes it safe for anal play, but the heart texture may irritate the skin after being thrusted in and out.

Material / Texture

This toy, as indicated by its name, features a red glass heart pattern, and makes it a very "cute" toy, which I like. "Hearts" has also made me fall in love with glass toys! They are super easy to clean, and don't pick up every piece of lint like some plastic toys do. As with all glass toys, it can be boiled to clean, but typically I choose to use anti-bacterial soap and warm water for cleaning.

I got this toy while living in a dorm at college, so I didn't always have a chance to run to the bathroom to wash it immediately after use (although I made sure it was EXTREMELY clean before further use). If you are not able to wash it immediately after use, I noticed that the heart texture can trap residue, making it difficult to clean after the lube or anything else has dried. However, I noticed that if you clean it immediately, this was less of a problem.

Another feature I like about Hearts, is that as a glass toy I enjoyed the initial coldness of the toy, and how it quickly adjusted to body temperature. Of course you could easily warm the toy in warm water or your hand before use, but I enjoyed the initial shock of the toy being cold.

Design / Shape / Size

As cute as they are, I'm not sure I love the hearts from a usage stand point. While the heart texture feels good vaginally at first, after repeated thrusting, it can become irritating to the skin around the vaginal opening, so I have trouble using this toy for more then a few minutes at a time. Also, while it has a flared base I'm not sure it's ideal for anal use because of how easily it irritated my skin. However, I will mention that I tend to have sensitive skin, and I've never used this for anal play, so my assumption may not be correct.

I felt that the 1 1/2" diameter was perfect for me, as a moderately experienced toy user, but the wide flare of the head might be a bit too much for a beginner. I also felt that the 7 1/4" insertable length was more then enough, and there was enough length to use as a handle, even when fully inserted.

The head of the dildo feels great when inserted but took some effort to do anything for my g-spot. I noticed that for g-spot use, I had to get the bulbous part of the right angle and depth, and wasn't always able to maintenance the right contact/pressure. So while it can be used for g-spot stimulation, it takes some extra effort to do so.

Performance

Hearts made me fall in love with glass toys. I love the different temperatures, the durability, and how easy they are to clean. I also felt that the size and width of the toy were perfect for my body, and the width offered a full feeling without feeling painful, however I felt that the Hearts had a few crucial spots where it fell short.

The Heart texture is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, but when thrusted in and out I found that it didn't take long to irritate the skin around the vaginal opening. Also, when thrusted too hard, the slight point at the tip of the toy became enough to become painful, and could cause bruising of your cervix if used roughly. These two points are enough that I find this toy spends more time in my drawer than actually being used. However, I still enjoy using it solo as additional stimulation when using my vibrator. Most of the time after inserting it, I don't move it around a whole lot because of the issues I mentioned, but the length and width offer a nice full feeling I love for solo play. I've also tried using applying my Hitachi Magic Wand to the base of the Hearts Dildo, and while it didn't really do much for me, it felt nice and could be used that way for those who enjoy it.

Care and Maintenance

Glass toys are notoriously easy to clean. You can boil it, use a 10% bleach solution, put it in the dishwasher, use toy cleaner, or use warm water and anti-bacterial soap, which is my personal preference.

The Heart texture tends to trap residue if not cleaned immediately after use (before the lube dries), slightly lessening the ease at which it can be cleaned. It's still easier to clean then most toys, but it might take some extra scrubbing. If cleaned immediately, this was much less of an issue.

Glass can be used with all types of lubes, so enjoy!

Packaging

Hearts arrived in a clear plastic box, with a fluffy pink pouch for storage. I'm glad to be able to keep my toy from harm, but I have noticed that the pink pouch does take up more of my bedside drawer than I'd like.
Although glass typically doesn't attract lint and particles, the fuzzy pouch does tend to attract to lint and such, which transfer on to the toy if not totally dried before storing.

Personal comments

I wanted to love everything about this toy, but the pointed tip and the irritation I felt from the heart texture when thrusted in and out make it difficult to use. However, it definitely turned me on to glass dildos, and I'm in the process of finding a glass toy that suites me and my body better.
