The head is realistic with ridges, and the feel is somewhat realistic with its give. However, an orange penis with bats on it is somewhat humorous when speaking in terms of realism. As for whether the texture is for beginners or advanced users, there is very little texture. What texture does exist is not rigid, and it will not dissuade beginners. However, the girth of Leo may discourage some beginners. It really depends on personal taste. Leo has a curve in his design, which I think was well managed. It's just right for wiggling Leo into that G-spot. The orange color and black bats is appealing to me...appealing enough to justify the price for this cheapskate. The harness compatibility is another thing I like about this design. What I love best about this toy is also what's not so great at times. I love the flexibility. After all, a penis is not a hard plastic rod. However, at times, Leo retains heat a little too well and becomes somewhat floppier than one might like for things like anal penetration. Leo is also a little weighty in harness use for what I would prefer. Still, Leo's girth is very fulfilling. I'm not a size queen, but the average girth for most of my dildos and vibrators leaves just a little to be desired. Leo gives me what I want! As for his suction cup, Leo stayed firmly attached to the bathtub edge with a little bit of water. You can use water or water-based lube to keep him firmly attached to other places. After all, who am I to judge where you ride your dildos at? I'm relatively certain not everyone sticks to only using suction cup bases while in the tub or shower. I do find that Leo has some drag due to his silicone makeup. For this reason, I find that I have to be really turned on to settle for just my natural lubrication. For any other time, I need water-based lube to make penetration more comfortable.

Pure silicone toys should not be placed next to each other if they are not in packaging as they can meld together. Silicone toys also should never come into contact with silicone-based lubricant, which can dissolve your toy. Water-based lubricant is compatible with Leo and other silicone-based toys. While I have seen some state that oil-based can be used, oil-based also often erodes condoms and can cause breakage. Silicone can be disinfected by boiling for 3 minutes or on the top rack of your dishwasher. I don't sterilize mine every time, which means I generally just use a mild soap and water to clean it. I store Leo in his original packaging, which is a tube of sorts because otherwise he would collect lint and hair. He could also possibly come into contact with other silicone toys of mine in my drawers, which I wouldn't want.

Leo comes in a tube of sorts...it kind of reminds me of when people make time capsules (and wouldn't this be a fun time capsule). The packaging gives a little information such as that this is 100% silicone rubber and high-quality. Leo also has a lifetime warranty, and he is made in the USA. I'm not exactly sure how the warranty works, but I would imagine that if user error (aka using a silicone-based lube, not storing properly) occurs, the warranty would be void. Just a heads up! I do use this tube to store Leo, but it does consume quite a bit of space. The top is also not particularly easy to take off and then place back on. I'd love to see some storage options for silicone toys from Eden. There are no instructions with Leo, but I guess dildos are relatively self-explanatory. Finally, I would gift Leo in this packaging. It's not particularly showy, but I like simple, and it's also pretty sturdy.

I used Leo in front of a partner while I had "me time," and he watched. After a few minutes, I noticed he seemed distracted. It turns out that he found Leo to look like what "Tony the Tiger's penis" might look like. After looking Leo over myself, I can see where the bats may resemble stripes from a distance (or for those who have to take off their glasses before play sessions).
