Metal Worx 10 function waterproof vibe - traditional vibrator discontinued by Pipedream - review by Buttercup Green

This toy can go two different ways. It can be a long bullet for clitoral stimulation, or it can be an insertable vibe. For those who love thin and short toys, you might very well love this for vaginal penetration. As for me, I like the sensation of being filled up to the max. My choice for this toy is a bullet vibe to stimulate my clit. Either way, beginners can rejoice. While it should not be used for anal penetration, the vibes can be used the tease the outside of the anus. Oh it feels wonderful on the nipples too. When in the fingertips of lubed up hands, this vibe can be tricky to hold onto. Be careful and have fun!

Okay, so this is where it gets pretty confusing. Ever since the Metal Worx toy line came out, there has been some questions about the material. The product page says it is stainless steel, but the packaging just says steel. What is the difference? To make a long story short, steel is a combination of iron and carbon whereas stainless steel is the combination of chromium and carbon. Stainless steel is anti-corrosive whereas steel is not.
Kevin Johnson from Pipedream popped into a forum to answer the debate of "Stainless or just plain Steel".
He said:

"Metal Worx is made of stainless steel and a high quality material that should not tarnish or rust. They should last a long, long time with proper care and maintenance, meaning washing with Anti-Bacterial Toy Cleaner and Hot water. Soap can of course be substituted if you have no toy cleaner. You still want to dry it completely before storage and store in a dry place. The line is made of the same steel used in medical instruments and cooking utensils. It is body safe and has the same features as other metal items on the market. You can heat and cool it. It's non-porous and has no seems. A little lubricant will go a long way."

So there you have it. I want to believe that this is 100% stainless steel, but recent reviews have me questioning the material of choice yet again. If you want to take the chance on a Metal Worx toy, that is awesome. I have not had any problems with the material- whatever it may be- but it is disappointing when a company claims a toy to be made out of a certain material and the packaging claims otherwise.
For the record, I love Pipedream. I do not want this to be taken in a negative way or a bitchy way. I just wanted to lay out all of the facts I have at my disposal.

When it comes to texture, there is none. This is a straight shooter. The vibe is completely smooth. There are no rough edges or seems.

The total length of this vibe is 4 1/2", but only 4" of that is insertable. The diameter is 3/4". The size is absolutely perfect for beginners. This bullet vibe has a blunted tip which helps deliver pinpoint stimulation to the clit or nipples. When it comes down to the design, this vibe has an understated beauty. The look is classy, sophisticated, and traditional. The small size makes it easy to hide and travel with. If traveling, I do suggest leaving the battery out due to the sensitive controls.

This little vibe has 10 functions. They are as follows:
1. Low steady vibrations
2. Medium steady vibrations
3. High steady vibrations
4. 5 seconds of high steady vibrations with a 3 second pause following
5. Fast medium pulsing
6. Long pulses
7. 3 short pulses followed by a 1 second pause
8. 1 long pulse with 1 second of pause in between each pulse
9. Rapid pulsing
10. 2 low pulses followed by 1 long, high pulse

To turn on and cycle through the different functions, simply press the button on the bottom of the vibe. To turn off, press and hold the button for 3-5 seconds. If you accidentally hit the button during a hot session, you will have to cycle through the other functions in order to find your favorite pattern again. This has happened multiple times, because the button is very sensitive. On the high setting, this toy is pretty loud. You might even be able to hear it through a closed door if you do not have any background noise. The vibrations are pretty buzzy.
I used this in the tub, and it held up perfectly.
This toy takes 1 AA battery. Rechargeable batteries do work in this vibe. This toy is not a battery sucker either.

The usual routine of warm water and antibacterial soap or your favorite toy cleaner should be applied when cleaning this toy. Just be sure not to use any abrasive cleaners or materials. It can and will scratch up your toy. After it is dry, simply store it in the awesome packaging.

The packaging is so awesome. There is a foam insert inside the box in order to keep the toy from rolling around and getting all scratched up. On the top of the box, there is a picture of the toy. This picture is a sticker and therefore can be removed for discretion. The bottom has a sticker on it as well that just gives basic product information. I cannot describe how awesome I think the packaging is, so I will just show you.
